First of all, I apologize for the delay in responding. I had hoped to have a report by an exterminator by now, but unfortunately, I do not. Mr*** came into my office early November yelling at my associates, of which none of them are employed by myself. When I arrived, I had a
message to call himI didAt that point, he explained he had bedbugs. I did tell him, I would contact an exterminator, however, I have never had an issue in that building previously. He began to curse at me, yell at me, and said the entire building is infested, and he knew this because his friend is an exterminator and told him so. We contacted Community Pest Control, to conduct and inspection of the building and exterminate as necessaryGary, at Community Pest control attempted on three occasions to gain entry, all three were unsuccessfulMr*** cancelled on all three occasions. I did have a contractor in his unit, prior to, he did not see any signs of pests including bedbugsI spoke with all other residents and inspected all other units including halls and basements, there are no signs of pests including bedbugs. I am not a bedbug expert, but per my history in dealing with them in property management, they are normally secluded to sleeping areas, not in walls, hallways, etc. Mr*** did not pay rent for the past two months, we have mailed out a notice to pay or vacate, which has nothing to do with a complainbut rather unpaid rent. Due to the amount of cancellations from Mr***, I have had to hire a second company to inspect/ exterminate. Safeway has made contact with Mr***, and has an appointment scheduled for 12/18/At that point, they will inspect, and exterminate as necessary. I have attached statements from long term tenants in his building proving his allegations to be false, I have also attached a statement from a contractor that was in his unit, days before his yelling and cursing incident in my office. My goal is to gain access to Mr*** unit, and treat as necessary to prevent issues in his unit and prevent spread into other apartments.
