Never showed up for my 1-2pm appointment. Never called me. I called 3 times until 5pm...each time telling me they're on their way. No call, no show, nothing. I do NOT recommend these unprofessional hacks.
Evans Air Services installed a replacement HVAC system in my home on December 03,2019. The city field inspector came out on December 31st, to inspect the work done by Evans Air Technician and he decided to reject the inspection due to poor ventilation and improper labeling of the heating unit. I did not receive a phone call or any notice from Evans Air Services so on January 7th, 2019, I called them to find out when they would come by to make the proper adjustment that would pass inspection. I was told that they would get with the technician that installed my system to schedule a time and date and they would notify me via phone. They never said when I would hear anything back. I gave them 2 weeks to contact me back and I was told the same thing, that their tech would check out the inspection and come out to my home to make the proper corrections. I never heard anything back. I called them again on February 14th, 2019 about the same issue, a failed inspection, and I was told that the person who handles failed inspections was not in for work that day and was instructed to either leave a message or call back tomorrow. I said I would call back the next day. When I did, I was sent to a voicemail. These adjustments that need to be made are pertinent to my health and well-being. I have scheduled an appointment to see my physician because of the health related issues that this incident has caused. I am hoping this does not continue to happen to people because it is not only a health and city issue but a lot of money is invested in HVAC systems and people should be treated fairly.
The inspection punchlist was completed and the job passed inspection 2/28/2019. We apologize that we were not able to come back sooner and address the punchlist. Health issues are a separate matter from our installation of equipment. We have no knowledge of homeowners health issues, and installation and punchlist would not cause health problems.
My home warranty company required that I use Evans Air Services as the contracted service rep in the WS area. I had never heard of them and had no experience with this company. The initial site visit with the tech went fine, however, I thought the estimate was high given the issue identified. Turns out the specific issue was not covered under my home warranty so despite the high estimate I thought it would be easier and quicker just to let Evans do the work as they had already been to the home and identified the problem. I confirmed the next available upcoming appointment (which was a 10 - noon range) and took the morning off work to be at the home on the day of the appt. As the noon hour approached and with no sign of the tech or call, I contacted Evans and was told that they had just found out the the tech wasn't coming to work that day and the appt would have to be re-scheduled for another day.
Initially I took the next available appt but decided to check the Revdex.com listing to find nothing but negative remarks. I quickly canceled the follow-up appt and am now working with a well-known reputable company to fix my issue.
Customer service concerns coupled with negative Revdex.com rating = do not do business with Evans Air!
contracted Evans to replace a heat pump/AC unit on the downstairs of our home. I contacted a separate company 2 years later to come and inspect and perform PM work on both of my HVAC units. I was informed that there was no filtration system installed with the new unit and that if not addressed would fail prematurely. I contacted the home warranty company and they instructed me it was best to contact Evans directly. I have contacted them twice over the past month and each time I was told, let me get with my owner and I will call you back by the end of the day. To date, I have not heard back. Upon further research, Evans pulled a permit on the system and the county never completed the final inspection. Too many red flags here. Calling the county to complete the open inspection and hopefully the home warranty company will step in. Called the home warranty company again and they then contacted Evans. Evans told them they were too busy to call me back, for me to call them three days from now when they "may" have time to look into this issue. If this gets resolved in a professional matter I will provide a follow on review of my experience.
