Buyers beware. Evaluation World do not deliver the service as promised. After I paid $110.00 which was taken off of my account within minutes but no services was done for 2 weeks. It was advertised that for specific fee (s) foreign transcripts/diploma will be evaluated for accreditation. After 3 weeks, I got an email that I need to pay extra$35 for translation that they offer as well. So what, what the will they do for $85.00, the cost of email is $25.00; for hardcopy is $200 or more. This company has not refunded my money, wasted my time, and lost an opportunity for a job placement. Check another company to review foreign education documents.
Review: On January 30th. 2015, I paid $270 to Evaluation World LLC., for the translation of three (3) pages and the course-by-course evaluation of my College Degree, based on those translations.
As advertised in their Website, they promised to have the documents ready within 8 business days (3 days for the translations + 5 days for the evaluation).
Furthermore, I received an E-mail from their Administrator assuring me that I should hear back from them by February 8th. 2015.
I didn't hear back from them on the 8th., but since it was a Sunday, I decided to wait until Monday to call them.
I called Monday and Tuesday. No one answered the phone.
I wrote an E-mail February 11th. asking about the status of my documents. A couple of hours later, they answered they would "get back to me shortly". That didn't happen either.
I wrote again the next day (02/12), demanding to know about the status of my documents. Later that day, I got an E-mail from them with the translations for my approval.
As I revised the "translated" documents, I noticed several mistakes. 43, to be precise.
I wrote back with the appropriate corrections that needed to be applied, as well as expressing my views on the quality of the service they provided me.
Two days later (02/14), after apparently applying the corrections to my documents, they sent me an E-mail letting me know that I should receive the translations and evaluation over the mail in 2-3 days.
Last night (02/18), I received a package from DHL with my documents.
To my surprise, they sent the translations and evaluation without the corrections. Something that is completely worthless, since it's an awful translation, at best.
I feel I've been scammed out of my money and the "Administrator", [redacted], is always unavailable when I call.
I'm not sure if this was done deliberately, or if their level of incompetence has no boundaries, but the fact is that I paid for a service that, not only wasn't provided to me, but the lack of sense of responsibility, added to their unapologetic tone, has made this situation even worse.
As I'm writing this complaint, I'm still trying to het a hold of [redacted].
I have all the E-mails I've exchanged with Mr. Gill (in case they're needed), backing up everything I've expressed in this complaint.Desired Settlement: First of all, I need the correct translations with its respective evaluation mailed to me.
Second, I'd appreciate an apology and a considerable discount for the time and money this company has made me lost.
