I received an email message from Europa on 4/24/20 indicating that they had made the decision to close their business effective immediately. The email is from a “no reply” address. I purchased a gift card from Europa in December 2019 and had not yet used it. I attempted to call to request a refund or transfer of credit to another *** Salon. The voicemail box has been full for at least a week. Many employees began leaving the company in November/December 2019 and have since indicated that the owners were making the decision to close. Their closure announcement has conveniently been announced during the pandemic, however there is strong indication that they planned to close at this time, long beforehand but were still selling gift cards to customers. This is extremely unethical and lacks integrity. Consumers should be reimbursed for their purchases.

My daughter had scheduled an appointment I Las Vegas to have her hair colored and trim and they required a $100 deposit for cancellation. Her appointment was. For Saturday August 4 at 230 pm On thurssady August 2my daughter called them to try and reschedule per their policy of 48 hours and it went to voice mail. She tried to leave a voice mails and it cut her off. She tried calling several times to get ahold of someone with no one answering Friday and Saturday. We left for FortCollins Cridaynight at 1130 pm so she could make it to her appointment. She had contacted the company again when we hit Denver and someone finally answered. We told them we were stuck in traffic and were heading that way. They told us that if we were not there by 245 that she would be cancelled. They said that there would be not enough time to do her hair because of consultation. All my daughter needses was a hair trim and color. We tried diligently to get ahold of this company several times with no avail. We had arrived in Fort Collins at 245 and was looking for the company on college driving up and down trying to find the place. The Carina called my daughter back and asked where she was and she told her that she could she could have her hair trimmed but it colored. And that she could reschedule her color but she would forfeit her $100 deposit and would have to have another $100 deposit. My daughter said forget it that she would take matters in a different direction. When I had talked to them they said they would have the manager or owner contact me on Monday August 6 but no one did. I had to contact them myself. I spoke to the individual that answered the call and she told me that she would take a message and forward it on. To say the lease manager said they would not refund and they work with their clients which they did not with us. All they kept saying was they were keeping the money
