Door was installed on time as requested. Issues:
1) door does not close appropriately and requires force
2) my existing deadbolt was not reinstalled well, resulting in the bolt occasionally not seating properly
3) was advised I would be given a "kid lock" pivot-style lock to prevent our small children from opening the door and this wasn't provided either.
I've contacted our sales rep, ***, MANY times and he has advised he is in the hospital ***. I've asked him if he can direct me to someone else for support and he will not respond. I've called the manufacturer, his employer, and they will only say that they will contact *** to contact me and he has not done so. 4 months have passed and I am very frustrated at the quality of service. After I completed minor touch ups, the door looks great but I still have the outstanding issues which I believe are the responsibility of Euro Choice. I simply want someone, if *** is continuing to ignore this issue, to act accordingly and wrap this up. Thank you.
Fix the issues noted above and I will be satisfied. When *** came onsite and sold us the door, he GUARANTEED we would be satisfied and we are not. To further see that neither he or Euro Choice will contact me to assist with these relatively simple asks, considering we spent nearly $4000 between the front and back doors ordered together, is extremely unfortunate.
The have completed the service for this customer.
We trusted this company to provide new windows and doors for our two story home in the summer of 2016 and paid them $30,000. Within months the paint on the dark grey double front door they sold us started chipping and showing white. Chipping occurred in 6 different sites so far (photos available) including around the door handle which they installed as well as around the outer moulding of the door. They looked at it once and replaced the centre door panels, 8 months later the chipping re-occurred. and are now telling us they will not honour the warranty claiming that it is our door handle that is the problem (*** brand purchased at *** with reportedly no customer complaints or recalls). This door handle set was purchased brand new and installed by EuroChoice Windows and Doors. Emails have gone unanswered as have phone messages. When I did reach them (only via the "sales" phone option) I was told that they would submit the photos to the door manufacturer which was suprising as we had read on their website that their products were it inhouse manufactured. They told me that the problem was "obviously with your handle and lock set" and when I asked why it would be chipping at six different locations and some far away from the handle and lock set, and why their installer had happily installed it without comment, I was told that they can't be responsible for the people they contract out to. My husband has emailed them explaining that with different components of the door and trim expanding and contracting with temperature changes, there is movement which has likely caused the paint to crack. They have become increasingly *** as the months go by and we have now been told that we are on our own. Countless people come to our front door and the first thing they say is "you know your new front door is chipping eh?"
The warranty states under Labour warranty - Workmanship of all Euro Choice windows and doors inc products is warranted for a period of 10 years from the date of installation the PAINT WARRANTY - "EURO CHOICE PAINT warranty guarantees against blistering, peeling or flaking under normal residential use for a period of 25 years". But I do note that they say this applies only to paints applied to white extruded windows but that was never discussed. And chipping after months would not be anticipated. Paint applied to doors is not mention in the warranty.
Under the Terms and Conditions of Contract they state "All products installed by Euro Choice are warranted by the manufacturer subject to conditions contained in the warranty.
We paid gladly to have this company in good faith to install every window in our home as well as front and back doors. Guests for months have been coming to our front door and saying "you know your doors are chipping?" EuroChoice was not by far the cheapest quote we got, but their website says..... "We continue to maintain our commitment to superior product quality....skilled workmanship...that has established us as the leading choice....." "All of our European style and modern design windows and doors are built with quality that exceeds the industry standards. Manufacturing is completed in-house, which is how we keep a close eye on production and have earned our reputation for consistency and superior quality."

I have been waiting since Jan 9th for a callback from the owner regarding the chipping paint on one of our two chipping doors. He replaced one and said he'd be in touch about replacing the other. I have been waiting since Jan 9.
