Unfortunately I cannot provide a worthwhile response to this complaint, as Euclid Chemical manufactures 20+ different types of concrete sealers and the complaint does not say which product was usedAdditionally, there was no evidence provided in the complaint of product failureIt is not uncommon for some sealers to dull in appearance after months to a year or so, especially on concrete around a pool deck that is exposed to chemically-treated (chlorinated) water and likely direct sunlightThis does not mean the sealer has failed, and the gloss could be restored easily without applying more sealerA professional concrete contractor with experience in concrete sealers would know thisUnfortunately this issue is most likely a result of not establishing reasonable expectations regarding the sealer and the required maintenanceThere are many articles and other sources of information dedicated to the proper expectations and maintenance of concrete sealersI have attached one link belowI so apologize that whatever sealer was used did not live up to the expectations established by the contractorHowever, I cannot agree with the statement that the sealer failed because it lost its gloss after months of exposure around a pool deckThere is no way to prove failure of the product without providing a sample of the product or at the very least a lot number from the package/pails of sealer usedhttps://www.concretenetwork.com/concrete-patio/maintenance.htm
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,

What exactly is this person of saying. I do not understand why they continue to waste my time. This is pushing semi ridiculous. If the person that is responding to the complaint does not know the entire story of what is going on at my house, they should not be responding. It sounds like this person is giving up, and turning it over to their manager. Is this what you think is happening here? Please have someone get back to me and let me know what is going on. thank you, [redacted]
The consumer has threatened legal action, and as a result, this matter has been turned over to our legal department. I cannot comment any further in any way (email or phone).
From: Jennifer C[redacted] Date: Mon, Aug 1, 2016 at 2:15 PMSubject: Re: Fw: ID [redacted]To: [redacted]@cleveland.Revdex.com.orgDear Ms. [redacted], I appreciate the opportunity to respond to the complaint below. Euclid Chemical is the manufacturer of [redacted], the product that is the subject of the...
complaint, but we did not sell the product directly to Mr. [redacted]. Euclid Chemical sells our products to a network of distributors who in turn sell to professional contractors. Although our products are designed and labeled "For Professional Use Only", some distributors also sell to do-it-yourselfers like Mr. [redacted]. Because Euclid Chemical did not sell the product directly to Mr. [redacted], we do not have the ability to refund money to him. If Mr. [redacted] is unsatisfied with the product, our advice to him (when he called our technical support hotline) was to contact the distributor that sold him the product and request a refund. It is at the discretion of the distributor whether to provide the refund. If the purchaser or distributor has reason the question the quality or workmanship of the product, Euclid Chemical would certainly participate in any investigations and/or product testing, and would support the distributor in any decision to refund money if the product was proven to be at fault. In this case, Mr. [redacted] was not able to provide the lot number form the product packaging, so there is no was for us to investigate the product that was used. Is is not uncommon for non-professionals or "DIYers" to experience dissatisfaction with concrete sealers such as [redacted]. Application methods are not simple, and specialized sprayers (that DIYers typically do not have) should be used for best results. Because the application method is quite complicated, there is no way that we can print application instructions on the [redacted] pail. Instead, [redacted] packaging instructs users to read and follow all of the instructions on how to apply concrete sealers available on our website. There is also a QR code on the pail that users can scan for complete instructions. In his email to the Revdex.com, Mr. [redacted] said that he "applied it according to the instructions on the can". However, there are no instructions on the can, so I suspect that he did not follow what it does say on the can, which is to read the instructions on our website and watch the application video, The link below will take you to the [redacted] page on our website, where the how-to video can be watched and detailed, written instructions can be read. Unfortunately, not everyone reads, watches, or follows the instructions, and as a result it's common for non-professional users to apply a concrete sealer too heavily. The result of a heavy application is exactly what Mr. [redacted] experienced and described to our technical support representative, who attempted to explain the steps that can be taken to remedy the "milky" appearance that resulted from a thick application. Unfortunately Mr. [redacted] did not seem open to this discussion, and only want to talk to our technical support representative about a refund, which again can only be obtained from the distributor that sold him the product. I'm very sorry that there was nothing more that we could do to help Mr. [redacted]; I again would encourage him to contact the distributor that sold him the [redacted] for a discussion of refunds and he is encouraged to call back our technical support department to talk about steps he can take to make his patio look better.. Please let me know if you have any questions. for some sealers to dull in appearance after months to a year or so, especially on concrete around a pool deck that is exposed to chemically-treated (chlorinated) water and likely direct sunlight. This does not mean the sealer has failed, and the gloss could be restored easily without applying more sealer. A professional concrete contractor with experience in concrete sealers would know this. Unfortunately this issue is most likely a result of not establishing reasonable expectations regarding the sealer and the required maintenance. There are many articles and other sources of information dedicated to the proper expectations and maintenance of concrete sealers. I have attached one link below. I so apologize that whatever sealer was used did not live up to the expectations established by the contractor. However, I cannot agree with the statement that the sealer failed because it lost its gloss after 6 months of exposure around a pool deck. There is no way to prove failure of the product without providing a sample of the product or at the very least a lot number from the package/pails of sealer used. https://www.concretenetwork.com/concrete-patio/maintenance.htm
