I am rejecting this response because:This is absolutely not a "he said she said" incident. I find the suggestion that it was to simply be a passive aggressive way to place the blame on myself and our company. Their employee said the exact same offensive thing to not only myself, but also to the receptionist who was completely uninvolved. It is clear that the company wants to take their employee's side and back them up, which is fine and understandable. I would do the same. The customer is not always right. We are talking about sandwiches here and being accused of sandwich theft. It's absurd. They don't want to refund the money from the nightmare of an order but they will offer a free sandwhich to the accused sandwich thieves? We do not need a "free sandwich". Donate it. Thank you for the offer. I've notified the rest of our company regarding this situation.
