Equifax Mortage Services performed an *unauthorized* hard inquiry on my credit file after I applied for a mortgage home loan with another lender (Veterans United) who already did a hard credit inquiry also. This fraudulent activity needs to stop ASAP!
They did the same thing to me but it was months after the time frame to check for mortgages and I never approved it. Called there three times today and every time I was transferred to whom I supposedly needed to talk to, the line would say “good bye” and hang up on me.
This has been happening to me as well. I contacted Veteran's United and talked to my rep and he had no idea what this was or what was going on. This does need to be stopped.
Equifax Mortage did an unauthorized hard inquiry on my account on a Sunday. This is fraudulent activity. It needs to STOP!

Equifax mortgage services has made an unauthorized credit inquiry on my credit report
Review: Equifax mortgage services has made an unauthorized credit inquiry on my credit report. I have never authorized this company to do this. I contacted the company in question and was told that it was not on my credit report but it is on my credit report.Desired Settlement: I would like this negative inquiry removed from my credit report.
thank you for your time and support on this issue
This just happened to me. What was your resolution?
Review: I applied for preapproval for mortgage loan directly through my bank USAA Federal Savings Bank. However, Equifax Mortgage Services had unauthorized access to my credit file. I did not give Equifax Mortgage Service any permission in no same or form. The only application I submitted for mortgage loan was through my bank. The bank made inquiry on my credit file and then Equifax Mortgage made excessive inquires on July 9, 2013 and again on July 10, 2013.Desired Settlement: Remove inquiries from my credit file.
