Review: In April of 2013 I backed their Kickstarter campaign for the Epiphany on-E Puck. I gave $115 to the project. The delivery date was to be March 2014. I understand there can be delivery issues, I have backed other kickstarters that run late. However, unlike those instances, there is no communication from [redacted] of Epiphany addressing the delay. There is no ability to contact Mr. [redacted] as the emails are never answered and the voice mail box associated with the provided number is full.
It has been about a year since the promised delivery and at least that long since the last communication received from Mr. [redacted].
He may argue that Epiphany Labs and Epiphany Solar Water Systems are different entities, but when it all boils down, Mr. [redacted] is still the CEO of both companies and he is still responsible for the promises and failings of any of his companies.
His actions in this lead me, and about 1,000 of the backers, to believe this was a scam to raise over $100,000 for his own personal use. We have seen no evidence that he ever intends to produce or provide the product and the backers will never see any result of this funding.Desired Settlement: On behalf of the other backers, we would like to request Mr. [redacted] answer for his actions and refund us our money. I understand other backers are pursuing legal action and I wish them the best outcome.
Review: I have backed the company's sister company Epiphany Lab's project on Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/epiphanylabs/epiphany-one-puck/), pledging $130. The project was funded in April 2013, and for the first year since the funds were released to the company, someone was posting project updates on the crowdfunding site. Since March 11, 2014, no more updates were posted, and I have still not received the product. Judging by the comments on the project's site, none of the customers received what they helped fund. I am requesting my money back from Epiphany.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my money back - a refund either in check, credit card credit, or cash - immediately.
