Epic Mechanical Service

Have Choice Warranty. They assigned Epic to fix our ac. They said it’s capacitor (?). Were so busy trying to sell us on “extra” “needed” cleaning or buying a new system they didn’t bother to turn in work order with Choice Warranty. This was Friday morning & weather was heating up. Have yet to receive anything from them about repair work. But made certain to spend time trying to “upsell” their services. If get the same treatment others here have, will file complaint w/Att’y General’s office. -Not just any complaint-one that requests they not be allowed to do business in the state. That prompts an actual investigation into the company by the AG. Epic would have to respond to any charges & fix to my satisfaction or pay damages. EVERYONE WHO’S COMPLAINED NEEDS TO SEND A SIMILAR LETTER, REQUESTING THEY NOT BE ALLOWED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE. An AG investigation might change their minds about cheating people.

I have a home warranty with First Premier home warranty and this company Epic Mechanical in North Little Rock 8030 count Massie rd Maumelle Ar was assigned to fix the problem with my air conditioner, An appointment was set for 6/6/24, at 2pm to 4pm no show-- took off from work--I called no answer, they rescheduled me for a week later at 7pm - 9pm. The repair men (Rick and Dave) advised the connections were loose and needed tighten inside the ac unite. Three days later the odor was still present but not as much as it was before the tightening of the gadget, I contacted the Office spoke to Anna she advice they would not return to check the same problem that was not completely repaired on the first repair Visit. This company is very unprofessional, unreliable and rule*** Please do not use***. They Do not do good work!

I have a home warranty with American Home Shield (AHS) and this company was assigned to handle a problem with my air conditioner An appointment was set for a Friday, but the company called and said it was too cold to work on it (in the 60s) Rescheduled for following Monday Tech arrived and determined coil was bad and needed to be replaced AHS policy requires bringing system to code at time of repair
Epic forwarded their findings to AHS, who then called me and informed me that EPIC identified the need for "mastic" and a "work platform" to meet code AHS representative couldn't tell me what either of these things were, so I called EPIC Talked to the service manager He told me there needed to be a platform for the tech to stand on to work on a unit in an attic (a cost of $to be paid by me) The tech never mentioned any of this, so I asked him why it was on the work order from AHS, which I was asked to approve I told him I have a "work platform" in my attic and wanted to know why he added the cost of one He said he didn't inspect the job, so he added it just in case and they would remove it from the invoice when the work was done I said I found that hard to believe, where upon he suggested I call AHS and tell them to assign a different service provider to my problem even though I had already paid EPIC a one time $AHS mandated fee for the service repair We never got to the discussion of why I needed to pay them $for "mastic" as I had been "dismissed" before we got to it
