I am rejecting this response because: I was told by the front office staff in late March I would not need to pay a late fee if I had rent in by the 6th...nothing was said about the 5thI have attached a document showing our rent paymentsPlease see attached, highlighted in yellow our payment made in MarchThis was paid on March 6th and we were NOT charged a late feeSo it seems they pick and choose when to charge a late feeI would like a credit of $made toward my accountThank you for reviewing

I am writing to you in regards to a complaint filed on 04/06/17 by [redacted].  It is our company policy signed in every rental agreement that rent is due and payable on the first of the month.  As of the second the rent is considered late.  However; we allow a grace period...

until the 5th to pay without a late fee.  If rent is not received by the fifth of the month a $75 late fee occurs on the account.  Due to Fair Housing requirements, we do not waive late fees, as we need to treat every resident the same regardless of the personal situation.  In this case it appears Mrs. [redacted] did not have the funds available to pay rent on her current obligation until the 6th of the month.  She incurred a late fee due to that reason.  While we understand she was saving the money for a down payment on a home, she signed a written contract for her current apartment that details when rent is due.
