After several hours of inspection, test driving and negotiations, Mr. [redacted] agreed to purchase the used vehicle "AS-IS" and seemed satisfied. The vehicle left the dealership at or above all the required Virginia State Inspection standards which included brake wear. The windshield...
washer system was fully operational at the time of purchase also. Mr. [redacted]'s decision to later have "elective" maintenance performed on his vehicle was optional and at his request. Previous to this request, Mr. [redacted] was sent $280.00 from his salesman (a distant family member) for the reimbursement of the cost of an alignment, tire rotation and tire balancing. These services are also considered maintenance and "elective". With all things considered, I do not believe the services that Mr. [redacted] chose to have performed were immediately necessary and the cost are not the responsibility of the dealership. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Review: I purchased car three weeks ago with 37700 miles on it for $25200. I took it to dealer in my area for oil change and to fill washer fluid container because low fluid light was on. The service manager called me and told me that the 36000 miles service was not done on the car and the washer fluid container was broke. So I have to replace washer fluid container for windshield , get rear brakes, new antifreeze fluid, new transmission fluid for a bill total of $690. I don't think that it is fair to buy a car for $25200 with 37700 miles on it and three weeks later spend $690 to do maintenance work that I beileve should have been done by dealership before selling me the carDesired Settlement: For dealership to send me check for $690 to cover coast of maintenance bill to car
