Empire Fence, Decks and Interlock

We had a complicated fence replacement project with differences in grade and large trees along the fence line. Empire addressed these issues and identified solutions for them at a competitive price. Their work was very high quality. Their employees arrived on time and cleaned up before they left. They were efficient and completed the job within the specified deadlines. Overall it was a great experience working with them. I would recommend them without hesitation.

We recently contracted with Empire Deck to replace our original wood deck with a larger version in composite. The work from design through construction was carried out professionally and with good communication at every stage. The on-site team was competent and friendly, and did a complete cleanup at the end of each day. We are very pleased with the end result and are looking forward to enjoying a summer of self-isolation on our new deck.

Large project went relatively smoothly. One thing I can say is that their attention to the customer is very good. Responses to questions or to discuss issues were usually responded to within a few hours and almost always the same day. We had landscaping and hardscaping performed by them at a value exceeding $75K.
With all large projects there will be bumps in the road and disagreements. These were all handled to our satisfaction and we're confident that any future issues arriving from the work or materials will be handled quickly and professionally.
You should not hesitate to look at Empire for your fencing and landscaping work. They offer good advice and can help you with design decisions. Make sure you have a good contract that identifies the details, expectations and costs (like you would for any project over a few thousand).

I hired this company in May of 2018, leaving a deposit of five thousand dollars with the sales representative. The contract involved two small decks to be constructed which included railings. The work was to begin the first week of October, 2018. Nothing was done except we discovered a deep hole in the ground, a leg breaker , in the backyard. The front porch was never constructed. I called several times and eventually managed to reach the building supervisor in the spring of 2019. I asked for the project to be started the first week of May, 2019. It wasn’t. I was informed that the *** building material was no longer available that I had ordered in 2018. This necessitated my choosing another colour from a different manufacturer, from a small sample on the internet. The two decks were finally finished on November 25, after I complained that the boards were pieced together and the post had three large gouges that faced the walkway. It took this firm EIGHTEEN months to complete the job, however the invoice arrived in TWO days!

We contracted a fence and a composite deck to Empire. They did a great job and good after sale service.

This year we contracted with Empire to do the fence between our house and a neighbour's (to match the fence they built for us 4 years ago) and then build pathways and a *** patio in our backyard. The staff were professional and easy to work with at all stages of the project. We are very pleased with the result. (The original fence still receives positive comments from the for any landscaping projects.

We had a great experience working with Empire this past summer. They did a large backyard deck project at our home as well as installed railings to improve the safety of our front porch. The Empire Team took into consideration all of our needs and planned the work to accommodate our schedule. They were professional and communicated well at all stages, during several design meetings and then throughout the construction process. The project manager came back a couple of times after the completion of the project to check the work and ensure that the final touches were completed. We are thrilled with our new deck! It looks beautiful and is a safe and comfortable space for our entire family (we have young children and so the Empire Team designed child-safe gates and railings so that we can enjoy our space without constant worry). In October 2018, my client entered into an agreement with Empire Deck and Fence ("Empire") to build a fence on his property. My client gave them a deposit of $*** in the form of a cheque, which was cashed by Empire as of October 25, 2018.

My client has not heard from Empire since they cashed his cheque. His repeated attempts to contact them have gone unanswered. My client has asked me to follow up on his behalf, and Empire has not returned a single call. Their phone system sends callers to call centres, rather than their main office, making it impossible to speak with someone on site.

Empire Deck and Fence did an excellent job on our deck replacement. They listened to our ideas and made excellent suggestion to enhance what we wanted. They stuck to the quote and provided a quality product within the time frame that they stated. I highly recommend this company, as they are professional and reliable.

Empire designed and installed the interlock for the front of our home in 2018. We were so pleased with the quality of their work that we asked them to build our backyard stone patio in 2019. Quality work and professional service. I recommend them for all of your landscaping needs.
