Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meAlthough I do want to say, even though Emmert Motors feels that the bluetooth issue was not the fault of the service department, I feel that it was not coincidence that it went out twice, after being in the care of the dealership Sincerely, [redacted]
I am very sorry for any frustration that Ms [redacted] has experienced with her Buick Lucerne and my dealership As a small town dealership we truly care about our customers and want to be confident in the quality of every vehicle we sell Therefore, we have our GM trained and certified technicians go through a series of quality checks prior to selling any vehicle In this case, Ms [redacted] brought her vehicle into us months after she purchased it with a seat heater failure Unfortunately, her vehicle at this point was years and months out of the manufacturer’ s warranty and she did not purchase any additional coverage We performed the repair and an agreement was made for her to split the cost Coincidentally, after the repair her Bluetooth failed Our technician found there to be no communications with the interface module that controls the Bluetooth He checked, fuses, power, grounds and data circuits to the communications interface module (CIM) and found them to be good He performed a 5-minute power cycle and relearn on the CIM and the Bluetooth worked again He explained that if it happens again, the CIM would need to be replaced, a costly repair Unfortunately, the Bluetooth failed again Because the vehicle was in our care, Ms [redacted] ’s perception is that we caused the problem I don’t blame her for feeling this way, but it’s clear after my investigation that it is unrelated However, as an act of goodwill for Ms [redacted] , we will be replacing her CIM for her which should fix her Bluetooth This act of goodwill does not constitute or imply any warranty for her vehicle I spoke with Ms [redacted] today and she was very pleased with this outcome

I am very sorry for any frustration that Ms. [redacted] has experienced with her 2010 Buick Lucerne and my dealership. As a small town dealership we truly care about our customers and want to be confident in the quality of every vehicle we sell. Therefore, we have our GM trained and...
certified technicians go through a series of quality checks prior to selling any vehicle. In this case, Ms. [redacted] brought her vehicle into us 8 months after she purchased it with a seat heater failure. Unfortunately, her vehicle at this point was 3 years and 10 months out of the manufacturer’ s warranty and she did not purchase any additional coverage. We performed the repair and an agreement was made for her to split the cost. Coincidentally, after the repair her Bluetooth failed. Our technician found there to be no communications with the interface module that controls the Bluetooth. He checked, fuses, power, grounds and data circuits to the communications interface module (CIM) and found them to be good. He performed a 5-minute power cycle and relearn on the CIM and the Bluetooth worked again. He explained that if it happens again, the CIM would need to be replaced, a costly repair. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth failed again. Because the vehicle was in our care, Ms. [redacted]’s perception is that we caused the problem. I don’t blame her for feeling this way, but it’s clear after my investigation that it is unrelated. However, as an act of goodwill for Ms. [redacted], we will be replacing her CIM for her which should fix her Bluetooth. This act of goodwill does not constitute or imply any warranty for her vehicle. I spoke with Ms. [redacted] today and she was very pleased with this outcome.
