Review: I purchased a microwave Model number MWG9115SB. Serial number [redacted] on 1-10-15

The Grilling unit does not work. Emerson honors the warranty under terms that cause me a hard ship. They require me to cut off the cord and send it along with the glass plate, the turning rack and the silver sticker on the back of the microwave.

I am a senior citizen. I had to first find someone to cut off the cord for me. The post office says it will cost me $30 to send these items. This is unfair that I have to pay $30 to return a faulty microwave I only paid $89.00 plus tax for. They did wave the $15 fee they had asked for initially.

I'm going to have to now wait until the 1st of august to get the money to to mail the items. It will be an additional week before I receive its replacement.

This mean I will be without a microwave for a month.

I also bought an 2year extended warranty through assurion. If the microwave had lasted a year, assurion would have issued a shipping label and a gift certificate I could use at walmart immediately.

I am being penalized that the microwave did not last 1 year.

This is unfair.Desired Settlement: I want a shipping label or reimbursement for the shipping costs. I want a refund for the initial cost of the microwave because I need to buy one to use now that this issue is going to be extended through the Revdex.com grievance process.

I want the position I would be in if the microwave had lasted at least 1 year. Assurion would have emailed me a shipping label. and issued a gift certificate for the cost of the microwave immediately.

I want Emerson to show good will and refund my money even though their warranty does not include shipping costs. I did not know that. I never expected an Emerson product not to last beyond its warranty.
