To whom this may concern, Emerald valley towing was called by a tenant at [redacted] on Saturday Febthe tenant had reported a Chrysler black in color taking up a parking spot and spotted walking next door to another complex "capri management building"We had responded to the call and had towed the car that was illegally parked with out a parking permitThere is only one entrance to the parking lotstraight ahead is a sign on the building stating (PERMIT PARKING ONLY)Then to the right side of the parking lot where the car was parked was another sign stating (PERMIT PARKING ONLY [redacted] ) both signs Emerald Valley TowingThe sign that was described by the person filing the complaint about another sign saying "Capri Residents & Visitors, DO NOT PARK in Adjacent Lot you will be towed" is very well clear and is pointed that direction for a reasonHowever, capri management company is the one who had put that sign there NOT Emerald valley towing! All tow companies here in the Eugene Springfield areas only except cash on private property impounds! Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Like I have stated before, I admit I parked in the wrong lot, but your rates were not posted and in fact were hand writtenAdditionally, how can you charge Impound and Storage for a vehicle you had in your possession less than hourYou additionally charged me for dollies, but how this that broken down or based? A Photo Fee of $30? Dispatch Fee of $60? If your rates are fixed they would be on your receipt, not hand writtenAnyone can put up and take down rates when they choose if they hand write the ratesYou should refund me half the fees, I feel $is outrageous, but I would understand $as a reasonable price As for the sign, why would you allow someone else to put up a sign on top of your sign if you weren't is some deal to make them money - meaning Capri Apartments is well aware of this issue and must get a share of the feesI have a separate issue with Capri Apartments pending and am dealing with them As for contacting you directly, if there was going to be any resolution you would have offered it while I was there in your officeI just wanted my vehicle out of the impound, not to get into a conversation about your business practices or getting confrontational Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: This does not resolve anything, it just goes back and forthIf they (***) posted a sign, why would they allow you to post one also - that's being in cohorts! If I wanted to warn my customers about possible tow, I wouldn't let the tow company post a sign on my stick/post! It's obvious the owners of that parking lot have had many vehicles towed from that lot and *** is partially or entirely liable for not checking with their customers when they come in to book apartments for their kidsLike I said earlier, I am dealing with *** on this issue
As for your receipts, get into the 21st Century, get a computer and print a legitimate receipt, otherwise else you will get these type of complaintsOr you can stay in the old days and have to type these responses and deal with customers who are expecting more these daysYour breakdown of charges is still outrageous and I hope to deal with you again when I return to EugeneI will be looking for your vehicles and see how you work and record all your drivers as they go about their businessI would let all your employees know that I will assign a Private Investigator to check out how you and your company operate, so don't mess upAll this is legal, in case you were wondering

I'm sorry you were towed! But unfortunately we will not be reimbursing any moneyEveryone is treated the same! You were illegally parked in another complex! As far as the fees being written on a receipt is no different then being typed out on paper, It's still going to be the same costThe fee's are posted and printed in the office on a huge light up boardWhen you came in to pick you vehicle up, Myself the manager even showed and explained everything to youWe have used these receipts for over years now and not only us, but all tow company's are the same when it comes to receipts
Where the sign is located that you parked in front of was installed by *** apartmentsThey been having so many issues with there customers parking in the same parking lot that you were parked in and so they put that sign up on there property! I had asked the manager if it was OK that we install one of our signs on the post as well just for extra signage and so that is was clear that the parking belongs to *** *** NOT *** apartments! *** doesn't get a portion of the money and shouldn't as well, They have been warned several times by not only us but by the management company that manages *** *** as wellIt doesn't matter if we had you car for hour or for minutesOnce its back to our location and dropped, The fees are assets and the owner of the car is responsible for paying the fee

PHOTO: years ago they past a law here in Eugene that we must take photos of the vehicles illegally parked before we can tow them awayDispatch fee is when we get dispatched out to tow the vehicle
DISPATCH: When we get called out to tow the vehicle
IMPOUND: Standard when car is towed
DOLLIE: All cars are dollies to prevent axle damage or brake damage
STORAGE: When dropped and stored on our property
