First, the part in question is not a cylinder head. It is simple cylinder that the piston travels in. Yes, we told this individual we had a cylinder for a RM-85 and we do. Unfortunately this was not the cylinder he needed. When he brought cylinder to us nobody recognized what machine it fitted....

Somebody had already tried to repair it and the sleeve was loose. We told customer the only way to repair it was to send it to company that specializes in this type of repair as no local machine shop has the equipment for two cycle engines and he agreed to have us send it to them. Two to three weeks is normal turnaround with this company. After they received it they contacted us and said it needed a special sleeve that they would have to custom order. We have been totally upfront with this individual and at this point I think it is best just to get part back from company and not try to help customer anymore.
