Mr *** was treated at Elk Grove Urgent Care Jan 31, At the time of visit he presented us with an insurance care of Health Scope which is a third party administrator. Billing was sent out and then a denial was returned to our billing company. The billing company sent
several letters with which were returned as movedUSPS did have a current address on the return, so new letters were sent out ( this entire process took one full year to get a response ) . Once Mr*** responded a different address was given for the billing, which was used and again denied, due to untimely billing, this has now been over one year. Our billing company had been in contact with him from this time on, he was placed in collections and then pulled while awaiting the response from the second address that was given. Our billing company put Mr *** back into collections March 2018. I have instructed our billing company to pull him out of collections and waive his billing. I did speak with Mr*** yesterday and discussed the issues, I also told him I would have him pulled from collections.Should you require further information, please feel free to call and I will be happy to assist*** *** **.Best Regards;*** ***Manager

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Review: I was referred to this urgent care clinic by an advice nurse from my primary care physicians office. I was advised that I needed to be seen by a doctor, but that my physician's office was closed due to the new year holiday. Upon arriving at the urgent care I was required to complete a registration form. The very first item on the very top of the form was "reason for being seen." I filled this in and completed the rest of the form. I was then called back by a medical assistant whom was either recently graduated from training or incompetent. After she took my weight, blood pressure and temperature I waited in the room for the doctor. A person that introduced herself as Dr. [redacted] (I later found out that she is a physicians assistant)informed me that she apologized and that they did not have the proper equipment to help me at that clinic. She said I would need to go to the emergency room. She said that the employees at the front counter should have informed me of this and not checked me in to be seen.
They did not offer a refund of my co-pay or to cancel the billing to my insurance. I called the clinic the following Monday to speak to the office manager about my experience and my desired refund. I tried calling once per day Monday-Thursday. She was not available until Thursday. Her name is [redacted] and she is very rude. She refuses to tell me who her employer is and how I can reach them. She informed me that it would take an additional week for her to respond back to my request.
This Urgent Care Clinic seems to be in the business of taking money and not providing care. They have no regard for their patients or for operating in a professional manner.Desired Settlement: I would like my insurance billing to be canceled and my co-payment to be reimbursed.
