On July 25th, 2017 I was contacted by *** (aka. Pat ***, ***) regarding a full page advertisement in the Elite Magazine spring 2017 issue. Ms. who had stated was the Editor of the magazine, was quite assertive even after I explained I was not interested in advertising in the magazine. Ms. continued to push to sell the advertisement spot and after viewing a copy of the magazine which she had couriered over that same day, I agreed. The following day, July 26th, Ms. sent over a courier to pick up the copy of the magazine as well as a signed contract and payment. It has been a nightmare dealing with Ms. ever since then. She asked that I send her a profile picture along with photos of my work which I did on August 20th. After several phone calls to Ms., she eventually conducted the phone interview. The phone interview took place on September 4th. Ms. explained I would have a draft of the article the following week and that the Fall deadline was no longer possible; I would be advertised in the Winter 2018 issue. When I failed to receive the article I contacted her. Ms. would give me another date and again fail to deliver on her commitment. I eventually received a generic article on October 14. I revised it and emailed it back on October 16th. On December 20th, I reached out to Ms. for a status update. She claimed she that she did not receive my article but did receive the photos I had sent in August. I became increasingly skeptical and asked to be refunded. Ms. declined this request and asked me to resend the information which I did that same day. Ms. stated that we missed the winter issue deadline and that I would be advertised in the Spring 2018 issue. To date, I have only received more empty promises from Ms.. On March 1st, 2018 I emailed Ms. asking to be refunded as she has failed to deliver on the agreement set out in the contract. Ms. has not responded.

Refund I would like to be refunded $565. This is the amount I paid for the advertisement on August 26th, 2017. I would also like this business and Ms. to be investigated; I'm skeptical that this is a legitimate business. On December 20th, I asked Ms. for the copy of the fall issue which I was originally suppose to be advertised in but she said she didn't have any. How does a publisher not have a copy of their own magazine'!
