Upon reading the customers complaint it appears that some of what she described is more or less accurateWe had the car on hold for couple of days until Mrs[redacted] asked for the non-refundable deposit to be returnedBecause we had to repair some items we agreedWe started working on the car, but we listed the car for sale again because there was No Deposit anymoreUsually the deposit goes towards the price of the car so the customer does not lose anything when they buy the car (there is no reason to claim the deposit back if you are planing eventually to purchase that vehicle)In this case I believe the customer was looking to purchase a different car, and in order not to lose the deposit, they thought that they could get their deposit back and come back later if other car did not work for themHowever the vehicle got soldMoreover there was no "Contract Agreement" signed between us guaranteeing that we hold the car for themYES we agreed to fix the car and that's what we were doing while the other customer stopped by for a test drive and bought the car the same dayLastly providing to the customer the Bill of Sale that they can take to the bank in order to determine their eligibility for a loan does not mean that we entered into any sort of the contract with the customerSole purpose of the Bill of Sale was to permit the customer to seek approval by the bank The only option the customer has is to pay a deposit to hold the car for a certain period of timeHowever as soon as that deposit is returned, we don't guarantee to keep that car any longerIn this case we actually agreed to keep the car for three days, but the deposit was returnedWhich is more than we were required to do In addition to that we returned a non-refundable deposit of $to the customer we went above and beyond what was required to help the customerAfter the initial test drive,we place the hold on the car and few days later we allowed her to take the vehicle to the Dealer for an inspectionHowever we cannot be held responsible if a car sales after a deposit is returned
