Our proof of insurance etc is our city license and which we are licensed in pretty much every city that requires a license throughout the twin cities. Making phone calls and etc IS extra work for us and for us to be extremely competitive which we are, when certificates of insurance are requested for... jobs under a $1000 we ask for a $75 fee. For businesses, we do a lot of work for, we do not charge the fee. To maintain our low prices, we ask for the $75 fee and always have. I understand no one wants to pay it, however, it DOES cost money to have employees do paperwork and I acknowledge this expense with a fee. For all who wonder about insurance, call your city and cities have contracts with insurance companies to where there is any lapses in insurance, the city is notified instantly and license is revoked.
