I am the executor of my mother's will and in the position of having to sell my childhood home The buyer, having signed a contract days ago, is unfortunately using Element Funding in Dalton GA (loan officer Nancy ***)Phone calls and emails have not been returned The loan was supposed to close 7- On Friday afternoon, 7-17, Nancy sent a vague email to the realtors saying the file had been approved with conditions and the closing should be postponed "until EOM to provide a more realistic closing for all"On 7-23, after many attempts to contact Nancy, she texted to say she is "transitioning" and has no access to files She says our future contact should be the processorNo name or contact information givenCalls to the corporate office in Atlanta have not been answered From the lack of professional thus far, I am fearful Element will not get it together and close the loanWe will end up back on the market after days and having missed the summer selling season

Element Funding's Charlotte Branch is one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. First they did not have our paperwork together for our closing date when they promised. We traveled to North Carolina from Michigan and they knew we had to be back in Michigan the day after the closing for our work.
The loan officer Dana [redacted] did not return emails regarding explanations as to why certain information such as a 33 year old divorce decree was relevant from the wife but not the husband. When asked for information of her superiors she would not respond. I needed to go to their web site to obtain information.
The stated that we would receive $1,500 dollars towards closing cost but at the closing they only had $800. If it were not that we had printed out the email stating that fact and the lawyer at the closing called them on it that we received our $1,500. The paperwork had to be redone which made the closing even later. I would never recommend
