Review: I purchased a 2004 Vw Touareg automobile From [redacted] at Elegant auto sales on 9/23/15 . Elegant auto misrepresented the condition of car and the terms of a drive train warranty.

: Condition [redacted] at elegant told me car was inspected per [redacted] auto dealer requirements and extended warranty requirements and was in excellent condition with no issues and being able to offer a 6 month drive train warranty is proof of that due to fact the extended warranty company will not issue a warranty if dealer can not prove that.

: Warranty Misrepresentation [redacted] at Elegant auto told me the warranty covers 100% of all drive train repairs for 6 months or 6000 miles with no deductible or other limits of coverage , the contract presented to me had no discloser that there is a $1000.00 cap on a the entire extended warranty .

1 week after less than 50 miles of purchase vehicle was taken to [redacted] Volkswagen for the following reasons,

loud metal on metal grinding noise from front differential

it turns out the car has a bad front diff witch in part of the drive train cost of repair estimate $4500.00 among other $3k of other issues not part of the drive train , the warranty company was contacted for the front diff repair witch was denied due to they claim a pre existing condition after contacting [redacted] at elegant auto he contacted the warranty company and they now will honor the claim but they only pay a maximum of $1000.00 , after $1000.00 that's it warranty is done. so in short It only pays out a one time max of $1000.00 . Not at all what the car dealer sold me.

After contacting [redacted] with elegant and demanding him to step up and do the right thing he said "I gave you the 6 month warranty as part of the deal on the car for free so it does not matter if I lied" he told me the only thing he would do is take it to his mechanic and they would try to fix it at the $1000.00 offered by the warranty ,dealers bond co was contacted by me but they denied any claim due to a forged doc provided by the dealer on 12/15Desired Settlement: Apx cost to fix the car is $5000.00 . dealer should pay due to his lies

The idea of the warranty is to help customers after the purchase of the vehicle because all used cars will eventually break down. Even if you buy a brand new car there are many cases of unknown defects which will cause the vehicle to break down 50 miles down the road. Our goal is not to mislead our customers but to offer a product that actually works in these type of cases. In your case, we made an appointment for you at a trusted shop and told you that we will handle this issue and did not ask you to pay out of pocket. You missed your appointment and never contacted us since then. You then procedeed to sue the company and lost the case as well. We are not in the business of misleading customers, the free warranty we offer actually works and in rare cases where the damage is over a certain amount, that is when we step in and pay out. You did not give us the opportunity to help you, instead you demanded us to pay you an outragous amount and threatened to sue us. Not to mention the fact that you had your own mechanic inspect the vehicle before you purchased it, and he did not find any serious issues. We sincerity apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, we hope for the best in the future. Purchased 99 totota camery from here.. Very honest folks at this dealership. Gave me a great car at a price I wasnt expecting. Smooth transaction. Nothing but positive things here. Will definitely rebuy from here in the future.
