I bid on a ring on July and won The ring arrived and I put it aside to have the stone put into a new setting as a gift for my wifeI took it to the jeweler's earlier this month and he pronounced the stone a fakeI then took a second look at the setting and discovered that the entire ring is not the one pictured in the catalogue! I then contacted the gallery and was ignoredAt last I reached someone who glossed overThe fake stone and different settingI was told that I had seven days to return the item, periodIn fact the ring didn't even arrive within seven days I believe this transaction was fraudulent from the start and Elegance won't deal with itNeedless to say, I will NEVER do business with this gallery again and I recommend no one do business with them

On 11/3/I successfully bid on some items from Elegance Gallery and AuctionAn employee of mine called on 12/2/to arrange for our driver to pick the items up after receiving an extremely high shipping quoteHe was told it had already been packed up and that we would have to pay them the shipping chargesI then called and spoke to a very rude woman who refused to give me her name or transfer me to a supervisorShe told me I had to pay their exorbitant shipping charges and when I told her that I had never approved the charge she told me that they do this for all their customersI told her that I should know of and approve of any extra charges that I was going to be billed for and that they cannot just decide to charge someone without their knowledgeShe told me she was cancelling my purchase and that I am forbidden to bid on their site againI happen to be a decorative art dealer and I am dealing with many auction houses from big to small and this has never happened to me before

I bought a jade bracelet from the Elegance Gallery and auctioneers, the item I received does not look even close to what the weblink for the item given by the Elegance auction
The item I received was a broken but re-glued item, I do not know whoever at the Elegance Gallery & auctioneers did the broken and re-glue jobWhereas the online auction pictures did not show it and the website did not say itThe color of the item had dark shades - which were also not shown on the online pictures
When I contact Elegance Auction for return, their customer service lady was very ride, refuse to give her name, they told me everything was "Final"
Elegance Auction shall not do business in the US

At last I reached someone who glossed over. The fake stone and different setting. I was told that I had seven days to return the item, period. In fact the ring didn't even arrive within seven days. I believe this transaction was fraudulent from the start and Elegance won't deal with it. Needless to say, I will NEVER do business with this gallery again and I recommend no one do business with them.
