El Centro TV Repair

Review: I was having issues with my 32'' VIZIO television and took it in for repairs at the El Centro TV Repair shop. The personnel there did some troubleshooting on the television and told me it was something common and an easy fix. After approximately two weeks of no word on the status of the television, I took it upon myself to go see what was taking so long for the repairs. Upon arriving, I was informed that the person who fixes the televisions was not there and I could not get an update. I was told to call back the following week. After multiple calls the television was finally said to be fixed and ready for pick up. An amount of 160 US dollars were paid for repair services. Within that same week, the television began to show the same problems as before. I called the repair shop to let them know of the issues and was told to bring it back as the parts were still under warranty. It took almost two months and various phone calls to get the television back. Throughout this time, I kept getting told that the part hadn’t come in but once the part came in that they had to do some sort of update to it. Once they said it was ready for pick up they said they had ran it for many hours without any issues. Once I plugged it in at home, the television was not working and no issues had been resolved. I was returned a defective television. The first television I took over to this shop, a different 32’’, I was told repairs would surpass actual cost of television and was offered to sell them my television for parts. I don’t know if they planned on doing the same for my second television. I don’t know if it is a common practice of theirs to buy televisions they can’t or won’t fix.Desired Settlement: I desire a replacement 32'' television for the defective television I received.
