Breach of contract: On my event date of August 19 2019, venue was late opening the site to my caterer. Upon entry the venue was not clean, had food on the wall, and the floors were filthy. I paid additional money ($350) for them to setup for 180 people and they set up for 120 people. My guest were standing around and had to wait until people finished eating to sit down and eat. The person working Anthony informed my caterer that they do not have seating 180 people and that the venue doesn't hold that many people. My contract clearly stated 150-180 max. At 3:45 the worker proceeded to lock doors, clean windows, and mop the entry way causing a slipping hazard for my guest some of which were elderly. My event was a funeral repast scheduled for (12noon - 5pm). I asked for the owner to give me a call as I was totally embarrassed, upset and totally disgusted. During my event they had one (1) working bathroom for 170 people to use. The worker proceeded to approach me during my event to inform me that I had to be out by 5pm. I sent a certified letter to the business requesting a full refund of ($950) for breach of contract. The venue gave me poor conditions, horrible service and caused me undue stress, disappointment and anxiety and I have never been so embarrassed in my life. The entire experience was humiliating to my family, guest, and me at a very difficult time. I have not received the certified letter card from the post office or any form of communication to resolve the issue. This venue deceived me on the services they could offer and breached what was written in the signed contract.
