Dear Kathy,We stand behind the solution to the homeowner's problem Unfortunately, the homeowner has received advice from other companies that cannot do the work that we do and a plumber who does not waterproof basements Our track record speaks for itself We have done thousands of homes and are committed to solving her issue This is the only solution that we are prepared to offer since this is a solution that has been proven to work The contract that she signed states "the services provided by this agreement will not make the basement area service impermeable to water and additional service may be required should subsequent seepage occur" We are willing to do the additional service that will solve her issue if she would allow us Again, this is our solution.Thank you,Caryn T***
Dear ***,Thank you for the information regarding Mr& Mrs*** The ***'s made us aware of some of their concerns with the work that was completed on their home As a result, we went back to their home and removed the dirt from the crawl space and resealed all the vents
We also back filled the crawl space entrance and installed an electric outlet for them since the pump was not near an electricsource I am not aware of the other concerns they have If they would like to call me and let me know what they are I would be happy to see what we can do for them.Thanks,Caryn T***General Manager
Although Ever Dry did compensate us with a small check I still would not recommend this company nor was I completely satisfied with the amount. HOWEVER, we did agree with Ever Dry to close this complaint in order for them to compensate us a little bit. We did ask for 25% of our bill to compensated and we received 7%. Thank you for your assistance with this company but please do note that I would not recommend this company to anyone

I sent an e mail on 10/2/2017 to [redacted] as I was instructed, and today...it returned to my r mail as undeliverable. I have attached that same document to this response that outlines why I reject Everdry's proposal. Additionally, I have had a plumber ([redacted]) at my house today, and it was confirmed that the main sump pump (pumps installed by Everdry) is routed into the septic system illegally as this is against the Health Departments rules, and the backup pump that only operates if there if overflow, is routed just outside the North west corner of the house into the yard,,,,where the water would lay as there is no drain off there. It was questioned today why these lines were installed in this manner and why a discharge line would literally stop less that 24' from the house wall.Please read my attached letter. Everdry has proven to be unreliable and I have no trust in their latest recommendation given they want to put the exact same system back in that failed before...continuously for 8 years. And while the plumbing company today was not consulted about my foundation issue but only for the sump pump, they also indicated that putting perforated pipe and gravel in 2 feet below ground, but having no outlet of external drainage for water at the foundation level would not solve the problem.

They have been to my house to look over the situation of the basement still leaking. They returned on Friday to do the work and it has been completed. Since it...
has not rained since they did the work I do not know if this will stop it from leaking. I can accept the fact that they said did the work but have to wait until we have a heavy rain before stating it was done to my satisfaction. I was told they were going to take pictures after they dug to the bottom of the foundation and then again after they sealed it and before they filled it back in. I have not seen he pictures yet so I am not exactly sure what has been done.

It is not true. They knew we had more complaints because the gentlemen that came out after we called Ever Dry took all our complaints and he said that he would take it back to the Business and tell them what was going on. The whole problem we have with the work and what they did deals with the fact that Chris P[redacted], the sales representative, misrepresented what they would actually do and what they did. Chris P[redacted], the sales representative, told us that they would dig down to the footers of our house and would take out the dirt and would level the crawl space and encapsulate the whole crawl space. That is not what happened. They only dug 18 inches and not to the footers. Chris told us that we only needed one electric outlet, knowing full well that there would have to be 2 electric outlets to cover all that needed to be plugged in. Chris also told us that the whole crawl space would be covered with the Poly Seal. They did not do that, not even when they came back to correct what they did.Out whole complaint is based on the fact that we were lied to from the beginning and were told one thing by Chris, the sales representative, and when they finished and Mr. [redacted] went under the house into the crawl space that night none of the work that Chris said would be done was done. Mark called the company and asked to speak to one of the managers and when he got on the phone he just blew Mark off and acted like he was nobody. We had to actually call the company again to get someone to come out and look at what they did compared to what they should have done. We also sent pictures of what they did, to the company.Yes, the company sent people out to correct the problems. But they still did not do what Chris, the sales representative, said they would do. We still do not have what we were told that we would have. "NO" this complaint has not been settled or taken care of and we are still very much upset with this company. What we were told by Chris and what they did is totally different. If Mark had not gone under the house and looked to see what they had done we would never have known that it was such a mess. If we had known that they were not doing what they said they would do, we would never have used this Company.
Read your own online warranties and guarantees. Please review the multiple trips and service calls over the past 8 years. While your system may have worked on some, it clearly failed on my home. I have a plethora of photographs, videos of water running down walls, and clear and obvious damage to the walls from water continuing to enter....that is NOT a seepage problem. Additionally, the sump system you installed was done so in violation of the Health Department guidelines, and what we now know if that the pipe you have that routed into is the old septic system that has no outlet....but may well explain why I had a cave in this past summer at the corner of the house. Regardless of whether it was a functioning or non functioning system, it was installed improperly. The damage to the walls where water has continued to enter has became excessive. Why would up not seal an entire wall but run perforated pipe along it so that water could still enter.?The original seal that was done was on a short distance below ground level, thus the entire lower walls and footer were left vulnerable to water entry, which has continued for 8 years. The second seal on the west wall is less than 10 months old but leaking. If your system is proven and effective, why have there been so many service calls for the same area, and why is this wall leaking in multiple locations if the system was proven, solid, and correctly installed????I am not willing to have more destruction.....you have no idea of the qualifications of any of the parties that I have sought counsel in, thus it is juvenile of Everdry to assume everyone is ignorant nor qualifies. From my perspective, Everydry has not proven to have a reliable system or service in my home, and their scare tactic approach of the ""bad" mold they found on their initial consultation was just that...a scare tactic to get consumers to buy into their product....and I unfortunately fell for it. As I indicated, I no longer trust their so called expertise as it has clearly failed and cost me more money. I do not agree to Everdry reinstalling a system that already failed. It is clear that they do not want to fix the problem but rather reinstall something that has not worked all along. I request that they repair the basement walls where there is clear damage from the continued water entry (which they already proposed to repair), reimburse for the emergency call when water was entering in June...that resulted in my insurance company threatening to drop my insurance because of the wall damage and continued water entry, and reimburse for the lost top soil, plants, and shrubs that were lost because of repeated digging and uprooting.It is a sin that I have to pay twice to take care of a problem when Everdry's salesperson assured me I would have a dry basement when they were done,..and basement that could be finished.
The technician Adam who came to the home on 7/27/17, states they want break up the west floor to drill holes through the basement footer...
to the outside into a gravel bed to allow water to enter into the inside system and be directed to a sump pump. He claims that he "thinks" the problem is hydrostatic pressure from the ground water, but could not explain why the problem is at its worst when there is surface water. Both times recently when water was running down the walls in multiple locations, there had been rain, or the soaker hose was on in the flower bed...thus surface water was running down the outside walls allowing water to pool against the walls at least 18 inches up from the footer. When questioned why they did not seal around the well pipe when they dug out the west wall in the winter, he responded that they do not seal around pipes. They just apply tar and plastic to the wall....so an open hole was left to allow water to enter. Additionally, they cannot return until late October to perform the second stage of putting black drain pipe 18 inches below ground on the west side (the next paragraph explains why this is happening). Not sure where they plan on diverting it to.When asked if they replaced the black drainage line that had been there when they tarred the wall....Adam (the technician) did not know...he had to call in only to find that it the pipe had been removed. When he was questioned why water was entering through the wall at 18 inches above the floor and higher in a few spots if there was tar sealing the wall....he only state that there is no way that water was coming in with the tar....even though I offered to show him the video to prove this. When I asked him why water is still entering on the southwest corner if they repaired it like I was told by the previous tech (I believe it was Shawn) in January or February when they dug up the wall.....Adam stated that that work was not done after he called in to check......thus I was told a repair was being done, but it was not.I do not feel that Everdry has displayed competency with resolving this problem. This is not the first time they have entirely dug up that wall, and water still enters. Everytime they dig up the flower bed, plants are killed and they do not reimburse for the landscaping fees I incur....and the last time, they left a significant amount of gravel in the yard scattered everywhere. There is wall damage and crumbling brick on the basement wall from water continuing to enter, and it is getting much worse....but they will not repair as their warranty only covers coming in to try to stop water. The tech insists drilling through the floor is the answer. I have since had 2 different companies come in to assess the situation to determine if busting up the floor and drilling holes in the footer is appropriate, and both companies said no. They both indicate that the surface water drainage is the first problem, and if the entire perimeter was not prepped correctly with drain tile below the footer on a nearly 100 year old house....that water would likely continue to assault the walls until the surface water issue was addressed. Both companies strongly advised to not drill through the footer. Additionally, the technician asked me what I thought should be doe to fix the problem.....that question alone indicates that there is either a level of incompetence, a level of arrogance, or complete indifference since they already have their money.

Dear [redacted],After the initial conversation between our representative and the [redacted] our manager went back to their home and explained further on what we do. They were looking to decrease their energy bills with a system in their crawl space.We insulated the band boards to help with that concern. They seemed to be ok with that.Keep in mind, our waterproofing system is the only system that was recognized to help with energy costs and was recognized by the federal government in that regard. Our system was the only waterproofing system to carry an energy tax credit from the federal government.We would still be more than happy to review this and any other concerns that Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] have in regard with their foundation.Thank you,Caryn T[redacted]
