Review: I was told promised my furniture shipment would take 24 days, and after a delay in picking up my shipment, my furniture and boxes left Southfield, MI on 11/22/13. I still have not received my shipment which contains my medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, acid reflux, gout, anti-depression and cholesterol, and my CPAP machine. I have exhausted temporary refills and am unable to find a doctor accepting new patients at my new home. Had I known this would take two months I would not have chosen this mover.Desired Settlement: I would like my delivery expiated by any means necessary, as promised.

Response:
We are sorry this customer's good have not yet arrived. We have been in communication with Mr. [redacted] and explained that the shipment will arrive by either the end of this week or the beginning of next week. We do not guarantee delivery dates and a number of factors involved in transoceanic shipping can cause delays, which was unfortunately was the case here. We look forward to making this delivery and providing the customer with the shipped goods.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9863585, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,
First, they have initiated communication, I have had to call every time since my property was picked up. Second, upuntil after the first of the new year, my property had not yet made it to transoceanic transfer. My furniture took six weeks to be moved from Southfield, Michigan to the port for departure. If I had not been given an estimate of 24 days I would have shopped for a more reliable carrier. Again, I did not pack medications or the necessary life-sustaining devices because of the estimate. While there is absolutely nothing I can do to speed up delivery, it is not satisfactory to receive a made up excuse in response.

Response:
The customer is correct in his statement that he has been communicating with us. He has been in contact with our dispatch throughout the process and we have been giving him updates. He has not been ignored. Transoceanic moves have three components: the mainland portion of the move, the overseas shipping and the domestic delivery. All three of these portions can have delays and complications and when you put them all together, the possibilities are compounded. In this case, as the customer conveys, it was the mainland portion of the move. The overseas portion of the move was seamless and we expect the same for the delivery in Hawaii shortly. We are sorry that we could not get this customer's goods to him sooner and again we do not guarantee delivery dates.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9863585, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I wanted the truth, and just to hear the company admit that they dropped the ball as far as getting my belongings through the first part of the journey will have to suffice. I can only hope that my belongings suffered no further neglect, which I will be able to determine by the new promised delivery date of 1/21/2014.
Regards,
