In April 2018 we purchased an engagement ring online from this jeweller, after seeing her work in a local shop and liking the style. The ring arrived on time, in May 2018. The ring looked lovely, but the size and finish were incorrect. I contacted the jeweller to ask that she reimburse for the resizing and finishing of the ring by a local jeweller; she agreed. I took the ring to a local, reputable jeweller that has been in business for more than 30 years. The local jeweller agreed to do the work; however, upon inspecting the ring, they discovered deep cracks in the gold. The jeweller took photos of these cracks and advised he would not work on the ring- it was poorly cast and he suggested we return it. My partner contacted the jeweller who made the ring, describing the issues and requesting a refund; photos of the faulty ring were included. The jeweller refused to issue a refund, instead she offered to remake the ring. Understandably, at this point we did not want to do business with her, after several issues with the product and the fact that she does not offer a formal warranty on her work. She continued to refuse a refund, so we contacted Consumer Protection and the credit card company for advise. They advised us to send her a formal complaint. After sending her a complaint, she finally agreed to a refund. It took a lot of time and effort on our end to remedy this. She was completely unprofessional in the way she handled the complaint, telling us we should purchase a ring at *** and that she contacted independent jewellers across Canada to warn them about us (like we were the ones who had done something wrong). She took no ownership of the poor quality product she produced. I want to share this experience so that other people do not get burned. I like to think that this was a one off, but considering the poor quality of her work and her actions when we requested a refund, I am guessing not.

We sent Eden Philippa 11 grams of 22 karat gold jewelries to be re-purposed into 3 rings, not only did she alloy the gold down to 14 karat without our knowledge, she kept and did not return 5+ grams excess as well as not followed the agreed upon details of the rings to be made. We requested for a full refund and our gold back. However, she deceived us and only returned 11 grams of 18 karat gold nugget.
