Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Downtown

My wife and two kids and I got stuck in toronto on sat night Aug 18th, 2018 when we missed our *** connection on our way from Tel Aviv to home in Boston. *** booked us to stay in the EconoLodge on rvis Street in Toronto and provided us with a voucher to pay for the hotel room; they also booked for and paid for a car service to take us to and from the hotel.

We provided the hotel on our arrival with the *** hotel voucher - the hotel front desk person asked us for a credit card for which we were told that $100 canadian dollars would be charged for incidentals and then said this charge would be removed (which it was) in a few days after our checkout if we had no incidentals (which we did not).

My complaint is that the hotel charged us $245 canadian dollars for the one night stay which we never agreed to and I never signed a receipt for. We checked out of the hotel the next morning to fly home to boston and never were told a charge was being made to our credit card. I only found this out when I checked my credit card statement today.

I called the hotel just now and spoke the manager on duty *** and she told me that indeed they did have record of us giving them an *** voucher to pay for the hotel stay but would still be charging our credit card until *** paid them'
