In response to this complaint regarding the KYMCO Like 200cc scooter. According to our files and conversations with the dealer, the vehicle in question was diven for long distances at a high rate of speed, (at or near full throttle as reported by the dealer) with a very low amount of engine
oil in the engine. The customer was driving the vehicle at a high rate of speed with low oil and caused the piston to seize due to lack of lubrication causing the damage to the engine. Operating any vehicle with low engine oil is not a manufacturers defect. As oultined in the owners manual, the engine oil should be checked and filled regularly and is the responsibility of the operator to maintain the vehicle. The damage to this vehicle is due to lack of maintenance or improper operation. KYMCO USA is responsible for any and all manufacturers defects, however in this case the vehicle is not at fault.Kindest regards,*** ***Vice PresidentKYMCO USA

[redacted] would you go back to them and tell them that I under stand that the warranity is out but [redacted] power sports  has been in the motor and replaced the camshaft already that was worn out and they been back in trying to find out what noise is coming from and they want 500.00 dollars  labor to see what is wrong ask them since that replacement they already done would just replace the motor for me because I think and [redacted] at [redacted] that this is something shortly after I purchased  it  because the camshaft stop oiling  thanks [redacted]
