I was shopping around for a car when I came across a " Lady" by the name of Angela Williams selling a 2007 Honda SUV for $1600. I made contact with her. She stated that she was selling thru eBay so we would both be protected. I agree. Shortly I received and email from EBay with steps on how the process work.I followed all steps sent the money. Then I received a call from EBay confirming my payment. They stated that I would get a email with shipping details. I then received a remail stating that it was a 2,000 refundable insurance deposit that was required from both sender and buyer being the car was being sold under value. I called the number on the Ebay number on the email. They confirmed.So I sent it. I was suppose to get email confirmation of my shipment I never did. I called the number back the next day a lady stated eBay how may I help you. When I stated my name and being to ask about car they hung up. I called back no answer. I then start looking for to get in contact with Ebay. I made contact stated that I was trying to track car. Once I gave info she stated that it was a scam and I was the 4th person to call in. Then she stated that.
It was a someone had duplicated the site. She the stated that Ebay is not responsible and there's nothing they can do. The emails all have eBay logos even down to the steps as the actually site.

My name is Clara, and I'm emailing you about 2008 Honda Accord EX-L with an gasoline engine, automatic transmission and only 88,000 mileage. Never had or need any paint/body work done, garaged keep always, without any mechanical problems, tires and wheels are in great shape as well, electric is working perfectly. The engine runs very good and the automatic transmission shifts perfectly. Has a clean and clear title in my name and there are no liens or loans on it. This car was used by my husband who died 4 months ago. The price was reduced at $1,200 because I'm in a hurry to find a buyer. I need to sell the car before the 10 of the next month, when I will be leaving on military duty with my medical team out of the country for a year and do not want to store my car. Hate to sell it but its not worth keeping insurance and paying storage fees for a year.

Shopping online and found pickup truck at supposedly good deal and inquired about it from Marketplace @facebook got email next day which was6/17/19 informing me about truck stating that she was selling so cheap because she was being shipped overseas in service and did not want to pay storage and insurance since she would be gone 1year I asked numerous times where the truck was located without any direction next day6/18/19 received email that it would be handled through ebay motors but I had to pay with ebay gift cards so I had to go 20 miles to get 1800 dollars in gift cards and call and give numbers on cards so I did got another email stating when delivery would be which was quoted as Thursday June 22 3:00-5:00 pm so next morning got email stating that I would have to pay insurance on truck which was 1000 dollars but with gift cards so I again called this # and asked if this was all we had to pay since I had to go 20 miles after them someone calling himself Micheal said that was all I was required to pay so next day the 6/20/19 got yet another email stating that I would have to pay another 1000 for border insurance called back and tried to work out some other payment which he replied only way was ebay gift cards so told him I could not purchase any more cards to cancel and refund my money and he hook up on me

I looked up a quad for sale on Craigslist and seller wanted to sale throw eBay motors and I payed $4000 on eBay cards now there is a problem to get my money back now eBay dates it my loss for doing that transaction. They have no interest in getting my money back to me I have not used my account in like two-three yrs. I setup a new account and there saying it’s my problem not there’s and good luck with filing a complaint with Revdex.com and a talking to a lawyer about it.

On 6/16/2019 I brought 5 ebaycards totalling $1,000 to purchase a vehicle off ebay motors. The next day I was asked to send an aditional $800 for inspection insurance. so I called the Revdex.com to report this only to find out I was being scammed. I was given a number to ebay, I have called them numerous times to stop them from allowing the perpertators to get away with using their cards as part of a fraud! therefore, Iam calling on the Revdex.com to get my money back from ebay..

I used Ebay to buy a motorcycle ..which ended up being a complete scam!
They had the same email has ebay motor's they had customer service I talked to
When I called the "REAL" ebay for a refund they just said sorry and hung up on me. I feel like people use ebay for security reason's and if scammers are allowed to copy there email address and customer service. they should make it right.

I purchased a vehicle from someone who went through Ebay and they said she sold it under value and I needed to pay an additional 600 for them to send it to me, for them to say in the same day that I needed to pay an extra 400 for Texas customs and when I emailed them to see if they could just refund me the money and cancel the whole transaction or to use the money I already gave them for the customs they never responded back to my email.

Brought a vehicle received confirmation and then could not contact them again I received my invoice and everything and no vehicle tracking number or anything ect

Hi , yes my name is *** & I was looking on craigslist for a car to go back and forward to work . So I found this Lexus Is250 for $1500 . So I read more about they said they were getting rid of it because their soon had got in a bad accident and he ended up dead .I texted the lady she we conversatede so she texts backs and say payments will be made through ebay motors. I say ok that’s fine so we proceed tot he process of purchasing the car , so I sent the deposit for the car to getbsentbwhich was $1500 !wo then they text back and say they need be to send another 1000 for georgia fees .. so I sent that payment.so the last time they say I need to send $800 for cargo fees etc then the car would be at my house so I sent it ... so i’m calling because it’s almoat 10 nobody answering .. so I called the next day still no answer.. so I texted the lady Laura Johnson the seller she wasn’t replying either then I texted ebay still no reply.

I am a mother of 3 who tried to purchase a car from Craigslist and was told to complete my purchase thru eBay where I then recieved emails from eBay stating my purchase was confirmed and I recieved a transaction id so I proceeded with my purchase of 1000$ for a vehicle I was pretty consistent with the seller until the day I was supposed to recieve the vehicle so I called the line where I was talking to someone I spoke with them and they told me the vehicle would be to my home but it never showed so I called the number back to find out it was a fraudulent number so I called eBays real number explained the process sent over emails and pretty much all the proof of what they needed to know and was told they couldn’t give me a refund for my 1000$ I’ve been calling for about 2 weeks now and I’m being told they can’t help I have to accept the fact of my money being gone
