Easy Smog

Review: On 4/13/15 I originally went for a smog check on my vehicle and the owner of this business said it would not pass because the engine light was on. However, the light was not on and my mechanic who was in the building next door vouched for me that the light was not on but this owner had already falsely wrote on my registration that the light was on and charged me $50.75 and failed my smog check. They told me I had to drive 60 miles and bring it back within 30 days and they would recheck it and if it passed they would charge me only $20.00 which they wrote on my paperwork. After 78 miles and 2 days later I returned with still no light on and the owners wife serviced me and was very Irate and said she was doing me a favor by passing it this time and charged me another $50.00 although the receipt states I should be charged only $20.00. When I questioned her about it she said "well I'm doing you a favor by passing this." Therefore initially I was falsely treated because my engine was never on in the first place and they made a false report on my registration stating it was on also secondly I was over charged the second time I went for the smog check and the owners wife claimed she was doing me a favor?? by passing my car? This is not the way people should be treated when they go for a smog test and I believe I was ripped off by these people who by the way told me to never come back again!! There is something very wrong with how they do business and overcharge people and falsely fail them first and then charge more money from them. So this is why I think you should be notified because I am sure I am not the only victim.Desired Settlement: I want them to be investigated for fraud and I want a full refund.
