We want to try every effort to settle a claim, but again must have proof of such.  Additionally, we accept claims through sending directly to [redacted].  Again, the same information must be supplied there as well.  Respectfully, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I have not received any communication from the movers and they definitely will not be moving my items out of the storage unit. I would prefer Easy Movers just pay for the glass as soon as possible.
Regards,
[redacted]

I have listed all reasons in previous complaints. I think this should be enough to at least warn the public of their business tactics. People work very hard for their money and need to know who who will or will not get them proper service and they are treated fairly.

The movers told me when they broke the light in the hallway and scratched my armoire that they would take care of it. I only initialed where I was told after being informed that my damages would be taken care of as there is nowhere on the contract to notate damages.Section 3 of their contract (claims and provisions) states clearly that a written claim must be filed within 90 days of the delivery which I did.

Below, you will not only find our offer and responce to this claim, but also see the multiple conversation emails depicting that we have in fact been in contact with this customer.  We have also had several phone conversations with the gentleman.  Thank you.  EMC

This customer changed her schedule multiple times at last minute.  On this day, she had us waiting at her origin (we gave her notice) while she was moving horses to new please.  This caused us to start the move late.  Late in the evening she wanted to stop move and come back...

later.  Our guys were prepared as the move was quoted from start to finish.  This move did not include a second day, 2nd travel time, 2nd travel fee nor time involved to repeat a 40-60 mile trip.  Because she insisted, we charged for an overnight storage in transit (which was noted in contract) and returned the following day to finish the move.  We tried every possible way to avoid any extra costs but she made this impossible.  Lastly, her move was originally quoted for us providing, loading and unloading 1-26ft. truck.  A list nor weight was involved.  There were absolutely no damages.  Please have her provide her copy of the completed and signed contract.   Respectfully, James P[redacted]

Hello, I will have this glass replaced and repaired no later than end of day on 6.14.15, provided this customer will make herself available for this.  In the event, we can not replace such glass or stripping, we will then reimburse her for such.  We are obligated to replace the piece...

broken (glass), not install it.  I am having this installed as well as a gesture of apology for being late on this matter.Respectfully,Easy Moving Company

I have sent email to this client.  I was told that the movers had negotiated having this glass replaced once we move client out of storage.  If this isn't the case, please advise.  Respectfully, [redacted]

Hello, We have received her claim via email within the last 2-3 days.  We have also replied to her with requested info. needed to open this claim.  Please keep in mind that this process does take time as noted within her claim response letter.  Respectfully,Easy Moving Company

Hello, It was my understanding that when we moved [redacted]’s belongings out of storage at a later date, we would then replace the glass piece which was broken.  If this is not the facts, please advise.  Either way, we will gladly replace the broken piece, but will need to come and retrieve the other matching piece.  Please let me know what route [redacted] wants to go.    Respectfully, EMC

Hello,Again, the movers do acknowledge the light fixture.  I did contact the property management and they said they did not charge and no worries nor money was owed.  Additionally, the movers do not have any idea of what this customer is alleging.  With this said, I will offer reimbursement in the amount of $45.00 for the customer to purchase touch up as we are still declining this alleged claim. Please advise,EMC

I am rejecting this response because you nor your claims team have adequately responded to YOUR team's failure in packing. Signatures were provided to acknowledge that the truck was loaded and the day's work was complete. But there was no way to know how poorly your team's packing and loading effort was until the truck would be unloaded. Is your expectation that the customer watches how each box is packed and loaded by your team to determine accountability? Take a look at the picture attached, which was taken when the truck door was opened upon arriving at the destination. Explain how it's the shippers or unloaders fault for the following:- Unwrapped and unprotected piano- Unwrapped and unprotected bed frames, dressers, cabinets, drawers- Poorly wrapped picture frames and mirrors- Countless other issues that occurred during PACKING and LOADING, not shipping and unloadingYour team cut every corner possible to load the truck as quickly and inefficiently as possible knowing that they would not be the ones responsible for unloading the absolute mess they created. You can conveniently try to hide behind the shippers and unloaders, but ultimately, you are passing on accountability for your team's complete failure to uphold your end of the contract. Your company should have NEVER taken this project as you all have shown to be completely inadequate at delivering on the most basic of services that you supposedly provide.Lastly, you nor your claims department have acknowledged the outright THEFT of personal property. Opening a box marked "Liquor" to find nothing but empty liquor boxes needs to be addressed. Where are the actual bottles of liquor that were inside? Not only does your team sufficiently damage countless items of my personal property due to their complete and utter negligence, they had the audacity to STEAL from me knowing that I would not discover the theft until arriving in Ohio. Despicable. The chargeback only covers the first days fees. I expect no less than a full refund of the 2nd days fees of $500 cash and a respectable settlement for having to deal with all of the damages and replacing stolen property.I await your response.Regards,
[redacted]

We offered $90 based on the weight of the armoire noted on the paperwork as damaged.  We ask that the customer note any and all claims at time of move.  This was all that was damaged muchless noted.  We have no idea of the valuables she has mentioned.  Additionally, we state that...

all valuables be secured by customer prior to move.  I will attach and send the original estimate which was emailed to this customer as well as the carbon copy of the contract on this coming Monday.  Emc does acknowledge that the 2 movers had a short time difference during this move and will make a total settlement offer of $200.00.  Respectfully,[redacted]

You see them referring to this move as an "alleged" move---that's the kind of business they are running at Easy Moving Co! I have attached proof of the move that they are denying being involved with and will await your response. Thank you Revdex.com! You need to be aware of "companies like Easy Moving Company!

Please see attached invoice totaling $48.25 for the light cover destroyed by Easy Moving Company that I am indeed responsible for. If you have any questions feel free to contact [redacted] at the Firestone apartments. The lease is under my wife's name which is Tiffany Yates which would've been easy to find out if I had ever been contacted by Easy Moving Company regarding my claim.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:[redacted] is the one who said if I would pay cash and move on a Sunday you would give me a cash discount...you said it HAD TO BE ON A SUNDAY...like you were going to do it "off the books"...you made me choose between 2 Sundays...no other day and that you were going to charge me $150 per truck deposit (2 trucks $300) I will accept $150 and let it go, but I should not have to lose deposit on 2 trucks. Plus I did not get an email until AFTER you took my money, stating that it was non-refundable. A deposit is generally thought of as a refundable gesture...if you are not going to give the money back then you should call it what is and not misrepresent your non-refundable reservation FEE, upfront and honest.
Regards,
[redacted]

I am well aware that I signed it. It's the only reason I didn't hire a lawyer. You can expect your customers to read all that fine print like you can expect people to read Apple's user agreement. However, it was never STATED that I'm responsible for holding their hand throughout the process, so stop lying to people just to make your poor excuse for a company look better. You said it yourself that water could have trickled after we left. And who's fault is that?!? Your "professionals" should have made sure it was tight so my old apartment didn't flood. I paid $702 for professionals and I got amateurs. And like always... easy moving company was anything but easy (fact). You should change the name of your company. It's false advertisement. Coldest regards,
[redacted]
P.S. Another fun fact... I only signed your little piece of paper after your amateur movers were done. Therefore I had no idea I had to hold their hand.

Hello, below is a copy of what we sent this customer with regards to this claim  Our answer to the Revdex.com is the same.  Please feel free to contact us if needed.  Respectfully,  Easy Moving Claims

Dear [redacted] ,
After
evaluating/processing your claim, documentation/attachments provided, movers
interviews, and reviewing the completed and signed “Household Goods Proposal and
Contract of Moving Services” paperwork, your claim is denied.  We will be making
no type of settlement offer.  For further explanation, please refer back to your
contract from move day.  We do apologize for any inconvenience you may have
encountered during the process of your move.  If you choose, please read the
statement below to find if a TxDMV sponsored mediation is an option for
you.

Respectfully,

Claims Department

“A claimant has the right to seek mediation through TxDMV
within 30 days (excluding Sundays and nationally recognized holidays) after any
portion of the claim is denied by the carrier, the carrier makes a firm
settlement offer that is not acceptable to the claimant, or 90 days has elapsed
since the carrier received the claim and the claim has not been
resolved."

Again, we stand firm on our previous decision with regards to all on this claim.  Additionally, [redacted] spoke to [redacted] with Firestone Apartments at ###-###-####.  She confirmed no amount was owed nor charged to this guy.  If something or someone otherwise has contradiction to this matter, please provide receipt depicting name, phone number, unit and amount on their company letterhead.  She also stated that she did not have a tenant or lease under this customers' name, however did acknowledge the unit and date of this alleged incident.  Respectfully,Easy Moving Company

Hello,After reviewing this contract/claim by the customer, and speaking with the movers as well as the leasing agent at the complex of which the customer moved, we found no liability to this move.  Not only did the customer sign all documents acknowledging no damages, he also noted that he made...

a final walk through inspection upon completion of this move.  With all this, we will be making no offer of any type of settlement for this false claim.
