We contacted Eastlink to move our modem to the center of the household, so the wifi which has been off for years would be in an ideal location to operate as intendedThey did this however moved the hardwire lines and left them in the basement, apparently it's not their job to ensure your services are up and online before leaving and they do not deal with any wiring in the houseAfter going through managers they gave me a number to call for someone (3rd party) to come in at another date and advised they would not pick up the bill
This left us without internet on work PC's that required hardwired internet, keep in mind this is business services with EastlinkNeedless to say i'm less than pleased with this policy, this is basically telling us "here is your modem, but it's not our problem if it doesn't work" This leaves customers paying for a service they can't useApparently this doesn't happen often enough for them to need to have something in place to resolve it, which I find unlikely
