I purchashed a vehicle from East Coast and my vehicle engine is blown and they are stalling to repair my car or give me another one.
I purchased a 2008 Ford Fusion on March 9,2020 at East Coast Automotives. After me and my husband signed for the vehicle, we then were told by the management team that the check engine light came on and they have to fix and get the vehicle inspected before we take it home. So they gave me a loaner until then. I looked at my new vehicle and the tire pressure light was on along with the check engine and ABS light. They told me that they were going to fix the engine and see why the light came on and also get off the other two lights. They got the vehicle inspected and it passed the inspection and I don't know how. They gave me my vehicle with the tire pressure light on and the abs light but the engine light was off. I told them I wanted the abs light off and fixed too. They said they would fix it and that they can schedule us to come back to get it off. I agreed because I had to go to work anyway. They never did schedule me to come in. After that On March 16th I texted and employee from East Coast and told her that the check engine light came back on and I need that fixed. She said she would check the schedule and call me back but she never did call. I called them the next day to get it fixed and they said bring the car and I did. They gave me my car with no lights on and I was under the impression that they fixed the problems. I also asked them did they fix it and they said yes. After that I found out that my car has a recall for the airbag on the right passenger side. It was empty it had no airbag. So I took my car to *** to get them to replace it. They replaced the air bag. Then on April 25th, 2020 my car broke down and wouldn't start but NONE OF THE SERVICE LIGHTS CAME ON IN MY CAR TO LET ME KNOW IF IT WAS THE ENGINE OR WHAT EVER. I took it back to East Coast Automotives on April 26th to get it fixed again. They said the car had no oil. I said well the car didn't alert me on the dash that it needed oil. So I began to think that they only turned my service lights off in my car when they previously fixed it without fixing the problem. And now the lights won't cut on to tell me that something is wrong with the engine or the oil or if it needs anything. They said they engine is now damaged but I believe it was damaged from day one due to the check engine light being on. I asked them did they really fix it the first time they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. They tried to get me another car but it would be a whole process like the first time. But my current car still has warranty which they said wouldn't end until the pandemic ends. I am unable to get another car due to my credit score, so I told them I need my car fixed. They claimed they would replace the engine but I explained to them that's good and fine but I have to work I cant wait too long. They said they would try to get it done fast and they can't give me a loaner because they didn't have one. They have one but it was unavailable but I didn't want it any way because it cut off in the middle of the street the last time I used it, and my baby was in that car. I'm just tired of going back and forth I just want my car fixed ASAP that's it and that's all because that is my transportation to work and school. They played games with me too many times.
I just want my car fixed the first week of May. I will not wait any longer.
Hello there Mrs., Sorry for the delay on this matter but we been working on this situation with Mrs.. On march 9th of this year Mrs. purchased a 2008 Ford Fusion from our lot.the next time she came in it was a check engine light and we have fix everything that she asked for. but it was her responsibility to check and maintain the vehicle on good conditions especially when she had drove the vehicle for over 3000 miles to check for oil level or to make the appropriated oil change right on time to avoid the engine to run with very low oil. This statement is to also mention that by Maryland law we cover 30 days or 1,000 miles after anyone takes over on a vehicle and even so we did cover not only a check engine light that it pops for 187 possible reason as simple reason as leaving the gas cap loose or pitting gas with engine running, how ever we took over the vehicle to over and change the entire engine and give them a loaner vehicle all the times the we serviced this mention vehicle hoping that her first negligent does not happen again.
We as company also not only had provided with a transportation loaner but also so grant her one full month of her loan payment to make her satisfy that what we sell we also respond beyond her expectations
