All of my family and friends know how much I love Earthbound stores. I’ve been shopping there for as long as I can remember. Yesterday my husband and I were walking through the Killeen, Texas mall and saw a jacket I wanted. I purchased it and had a good shopping experience. Needless to say, when I got home and put the jacket on it was too small. So, I decided to return it today and when I entered the store the clerk on duty told me he couldn’t do a refund. I asked if the manager was available and he went to check. He told me the manager was out of the store and wouldn’t return for 30 minutes. I told the clerk I didn’t have 30 minutes to wait and someone needed to process my return. He went back to talk to the manager and returned to say the manager was not available. I proceeded to tell him that this was absurd and someone needed to process my refund. He went back to talk to the manager and the manager came out and told me that he couldn’t process a refund because he was on his 30-minute lunch break and off the time clock. I told him that I didn’t care and if he was on break someone should be available to process a refund. He told me this was corporate policy (what company would have such a policy when customers come first). What is customer service coming too? The manager and I went back and forth for at least five minutes of his lunch break which he could’ve been processing my refund. And needless to say, he didn’t come back out from his lunch break until 35 minutes later to process my refund. I will not be shopping at Earthbound again.
Ms. contacted us yesterday and we responded to her complaint first thing this morning. We do apologize for the inconvenience. We would like to forward this matter to the store's District Manager immediately. In our response, we asked if it was okay to submit her contact information to the District Manager so that they may reach out.
