I went into this ENT specialist office to find help resolving some hearing loss. I saw a doctor and an audiologist. I paid a co-pay upon arrival and a month and a half later received a bill for another co-pay. When I contacted billing, I was told that the insurance company does that because I saw two different people at the appointment. When I contacted my insurance company, they told me it was because of the way it was billed.I spoke to the ENT's again and they told me they have no choice but to bill it that way. I was never warned that I may get charged a second co-pay. I saw the doctor and audiologist again before this bill came, so I will more than likely be getting another co-pay bill even though I paid a co-pay for one doctor visit. The audiologist office is not separate from the doctors office within. The office should have warned me, by letting me attend twice with no warning of this is unethical and should not be allowed.
