Review: My husband and I have had nothing but problems with Eaglewood Apartments. We started leasing here on January 16th 2013, just a few short months into our lease we started having issues with the water heater and mice. No hot water for days that was claimed to be caused by some sort of part they could not explain. Being told that they would change each part of all the water heaters in our unit to solve the problem. Issue was never solved until they finally replaced our water heater that summer. Complaining about the mice multiple times we were told that they would set up traps and cover holes in the walls from them. Placing only two sticky traps in our apartment, [redacted] and I took matter into our own hands by purchasing our own. We can still hear them in the walls on a weekly basis and finding mouse droppings on our counters in the kitchen. The water heater started to leak again, we then again had no hot water,so we contacted the apartment. The maintenance manager admitted that the leak was due to their negligence. They came and fixed the problem again and soon after we found mold covering our closet wall and damaging our property. According to them the problem was fixed and was just discoloration. They wiped off the mold and painted over the water logged wall. In our bedroom we also had a leak that soaked our carpet and wall. It took them about two months to completely "fix it". With [redacted] and I having to demand the insulation be replaced due to the damaged caused by the leak, When the manager just wanted to air dry it out. Eaglewood sent out a capet cleaner to remove the brown stain on the floor. I asked him to pull back the carpet and check the padding underneath that was completley soaked through. Also discovering that same portion of the padding was replaced before we ever leased this apartment. We have recently discovered that a wall in our bedroom that was fixed by "professionals" is now cracked once again. We are asked to check the area everytime it rains to be sure it doesnt start to leak.Desired Settlement: My husband and I are asking to be released from our lease with no penalties against us. Also we want a full refund on our deposit. Due to the mold and other stated issues, We feel the living conditions here are uninhabitable.
