Review: I asked for a move of 2-bed-room stuff for my friend and myself for 9-10 am on 6-15-13. I was told by a gentleman that they would charge me $80 for a hour including their driving to and from the pick-up location to the destination, and the estimate would be $400-500 depending on the driving time. They did not ask me what furniture we had or the number of boxes. I went on a vacation and my friend tended the move. The workers showed up after 11:00 with no notice, with a smaller van they needed. They had to make two trips to move the stuff and charged for the hours for the second trip. They also informed at this time for the first time that we were charged for the pre-post job travel $100, which they should have told me when I inquired the estimate. They said they would charge $800 to move the entire stuff at this time also. My friend said we could only spare $700. They charged us $770 and left her stuff without moving so that the fee would not run up to $800. My friend said they talked to their boss during the process. My friend said the van was half empty. She ended up making 4 more trips on her own to get the stuff out. I called the company in the end of June and the man in charge (different one from the one I originally spoke to) said the guy who I spoke over the phone was in AZ, and would contact me for the settlement. As of July 7, I have not heard from anyone. This gent also explained that the company did not have the working van of the needed size on that day, and they still wanted to serve us. Well, if the move could have been done in one van if they had the van working as it supposed to, it did not take a second trip or my friend's ending up doing her own move. So, I do not agree that we are charged for their mishap.Desired Settlement: I would like the refund of $170, which would end up with me paying $500, the highest end of the estimate.

Response:
We are obviously concerned when someone has a problem with our company. I have pulled the related Bill of Lading and will meet with the individuals responsible for the move. This sounds familiar and I will have an answer for the customer within 7 - 10 days.
