To start off I am sorry that the family feels this way about our services but we did not do anything wrong and all services were rendered in a professional mater We did not arrive late to the service we were there at the time specified by the family at the time of the arrangements, the family states that they came in at a later time and asked if we were able to get the deceased there earlier, but has not said who they told and if they had received verification to the fact Moving on to the next issue the makeup of the deceased there are many factors that affect how the makeup is done and how the deceased is presented for viewing purposes, one of the biggest factor is what the deceased passed away from, the deceased passed away [redacted] which turned him [redacted] ( yellowing ) when the mixes with [redacted] what happens to the deceased is a term we refer to Adipose Gray or a deceased turning Green, to cover up that green tint we needed to put the correct shade on the deceased, hence the reason why the Cosmetologist could not bring his shade lighter as the family requested it to be Furthermore I am sorry to say but [redacted] is a very brutal disease and takes a toll on the body and metamorphose a deceased even after the deceased passes The truth is when the family did come in to voice their dissatisfaction I was under the impression that the deceased was brought to the crematory and that is what I relayed to the family, but at no time did they ask me to see the deceased, because I would have told them exactly what I had told them the next day that they can go to the Crematory to see the deceased as they did the next dayWhen the family called they did say that they were on their way to the crematory to positively identify the deceased again and take pictures of the deceased( later explained to me ) I had the funeral director wait well over an hour at the crematory that is only min away from the Funeral Home we tried calling the family to see if they were going but there was no response from the family on three separate occasions minutes apart each time, at that time we instructed the director to go to his next family that was waiting on him We received a phone call minutes after the director left and was told that the family was there and would like to view the deceased again at that time the director was routed back to the crematory to help this family Some important points that need to be mentioned are as follows: The family could have been present at the funeral home to see the cosmetology before the deceased was brought to church for the viewing The family did not leave any specific instructions on how the wanted the Cosmetology done The family was not charged any additional monies for the extra services rendered The deceased could not have been brought directly to the crematory as the state that I had told them because as they know the deceased was in a loaner casket for the viewing and service and then would be transferred into a Cremation Container (Simple Cardboard Box) for the cremation process I am sorry that the family feels this way but know that the funeral home and the staff went above and beyond for this family Elefterios F [redacted] Manager/Funeral DirectorFirst Avenue Funeral Service Inc[redacted] ***###-###-####
