THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE. THEY PAID THE WRONG AMOUNT ON MY TAXES CHECK WAS RETURNED TO THEM AND NOT CREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT NOW WHEN THEY PAY THE CORRECT AMOUNT THEY SAY MY ESCROW IS SHORT. HMM CREDIT BACK THE RETURNED CHECK AND IM NO LONGER SHORT. BUT NOOOO. THEY INTERNALLY CHANGED ACCOUNT NUMBERS AND THEY CAN NO LONGER ACCESS THE RECORDS. SOUNDS LIKE FRAUD...
I am thrilled to say that you and E Mortgage are professional and ethical in your business dealings What a great job you did for us!
I suspect they adopt the bat and switch strategyThey sent me a letter claiming they have pre-approved my jumbo loan at a very attractive ***But when I called, I was offered Fixed-rate mortgages at a higher ratesI requested them to send details via email which they agreed to sendNo word beyond itI have called several times over the past week but there has been no responseReading other complaints makes me believe I am better off not hearing from them
The folks at E-Mortgage were beyond helpful, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeableMy situation was a unique one, and I never doubted for a second that they could handle all the details and provide me with the best experience possibleI would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase or refinance a home! They've become like family to me and I will always appreciate them for helping me into my dream home
I ran into trouble with my mortgage and was looking for a good place to REFI which was proving difficult since my mortgage has been underwater since the housing crash I got a cold call from E-Mortgage one day and liked what I was hearing, saw that they were Revdex.com accredited so I proceeded to work with this company I was told about the *** program and how it was designed for people in my situation and started to feel a bit better about my situationI was working with an individual named Scott S*** who was walking me through the process, and I gave them essentially every piece of personal and financial information I was asked for and waitedand waitedand waited some more I was told each month to hold off on making my mortgage payments as the loan was going to go throughSix months later after having to make up all missed payments and having to pay late fees on each month E-Mortgage denies my application The whole way through this I was told by the aforementioned individual that "don't worry, everything looks great, your loan is going through, we are just waiting for a subordination from your 2nd mortgage" I was told this time and time again and I was foolish enough to believe what I was being told I suddenly received a letter stating that my loan had been denied I called MrS*** to inquire about what happened and he did not return my phone calls I texted him with no response I even tried to log into my account with E-Mortgage to file a complaint and low and behold, my account had just disappeared so I had no way of even complaining If they had just told me within the first 2-months that I was unlikely to be approved, I would have moved on to other options, but no I was told everything was great and to just be patient Now I am in a worse situation than ever, essentially screwed and having to decide between foreclosure and bankruptcy Thank you soooo much E-Mortgage for finding a way to make things even worseIf anyone ever asks me about this company I will tell them to turn and run because they will string you along and not be up front about what is really going on and then you will be alone to pick up the pieces by yourself if there is anything left
I never thought buying a home could be so hard, we purchased a foreclosure property and closed through Jason *** who fought side by side with us, through every ridiculous obstacle thrown in front of us, this purchase was a battle from day one and every day thereafter, including the early termination of our contract, thankfully Jason was on top of everything and sprang to action at a moments notice to make sure this "dream" of ours came to fruition, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with Jason, hopefully your experience will be less stressful than ours, but know that he will be there to support you and make your transaction flow seamlessly
Ms***:Mr*** is correct that he is entitled to a copy of his appraissal report, and also that there was a long delay before E Mortgage mailed it to him, during which Mr*** made several phone calls repeating his request that the appraissal report be sent to himOn January 8, 2015,
an E Mortgage employee received one of Mr*** voice messages requsting the copy of his appraissal report, and immediately mailed the report to Mr*** at his address of record. The tracking records of *** *** indicate that the report was left at Mr*** residence the morning of January 13, Thus, the report was already delivered to Mr*** before E Mortgage recieved this Revdex.com complaint later in the day of January 13.E Mortgage apologizes for the delay in delivering the report to Mr***Our company policy is to deliver appraissal reports to the entitled parties as soon as we receive them from the appraissal companyAlthough the holiday season may have contributed to the delay in this case (the two employees involved were on vacation during the time period involved), this is not acceptable customer service and we are investiagting the reasons for this failure and seeking to change our procedures to prevent future recurrences.Once again, E Mortagage wishes to apologize to Mr*** for any inconvenience caused to him from the delay in recieving his appraissal report. Please contact me if there is anything else you require to resolve this matter.Sincerely, *** ***General Counsel
I suspect they adopt the bat and switch strategy. They sent me a letter claiming they have pre-approved my jumbo loan at a very attractive [redacted]. But when I called, I was offered Fixed-rate mortgages at a higher rates. I requested them to send details via email which they agreed to send. No word beyond it. I have called several times over the past week but there has been no response. Reading other complaints makes me believe I am better off not hearing from them.

Review: Denial of refinancing loan. This application process started the end of June. Appraisel was the first week of July. We were informed the house needs some repairs. The first loan officer, [redacted] was terminated about mid August. Another loan officer took over. He said the repairs were too many even though I had 2 different contracters give me estimates that were reasonable. [redacted] is the second loan officer; he seemed to have no interest in helping us. The balance we owe is $176,000 and the appraisal came out $ 414,000 and that did not include my back house that is 720 sq. ft; it was re roofed in April when I got a new roof on the main house. My main complaint is the letter of denial says we receive frequent bill collection calls; I never have any bill collectors phone. This is totally untrue and the next thing is even worse "derogatory public records" then went on to say too short of time since derogatory public records" What in the world is that referring ? Im a retired insurance Agent (31 years) I m bonded and have E@ O. My husband is a retired as a Sears Tech as well as owner if Gas Stations in the 70 s. I have sent 2 e mails to E Mortgage and no acknowledge. I believe legally they need to explain those accuasations Thank you for looking into this [redacted] PS Do you want to have me fax a copy of the letter I m referring to?Desired Settlement: I want to know if they mixed my loan application with someone else or where the mis- information comes from. As I have said I do not care about being denied a loan but don t lie and fabricate the reason. Part of the problem could be changing loan officers; however they should be able to keep their facts straight. The only reason we wanted to re- fi was to pay off credit card debt and have extra $$$ to get repairs on our home. Thank You [redacted]

Response:
[redacted] is correct---E Mortgage did decline the [redacted]'s loan, and for the reasons she was told by the loan officer; however, E Mortgae failed to properly complete the Statements of Denial (the "Statements") they received in the mail as notice of the declination. The first page of the Statements lists in Part I the Reasons for the Denial, one of the boxes for Inadequate Collateral, Unacceptable Property, or Unacceptable Appraissal should have been checked, but it was accidentally omitted. Part II of the Statements is to be checked if we relied on their credit report to make our decision; we did not, we relied on the reasons in Part I noted above, so Part II was properly left unchecked. Therefore, although the Statements contains credit scores and Key Factors affecting that credit score, it was not relied on E Mortgage to decline the loan. Also, it is not E Mortgage making the negative statements about the [redacted]'s credit; those are from the three credit bureaus directly, and she should contact them to address any statements they believe are not accurate.E Mortgage apologizes for sending the incorrect Statements and for any inconvenience or concern that it has caused the [redacted]'s. We would be happy to cancel the current Statements and reissue corrected Statements listing the proper reasons for the loan's declination. Please advise if that will resolve this matter to [redacted]'s satisfaction.Sincerely,[redacted]

I am thrilled to say that you and E Mortgage are professional and ethical in your business dealings. What a great job you did for us!
I ran into trouble with my mortgage and was looking for a good place to REFI which was proving difficult since my mortgage has been underwater since the housing crash. I got a cold call from E-Mortgage one day and liked what I was hearing, saw that they were Revdex.com accredited so I proceeded to work with this company. I was told about the [redacted] program and how it was designed for people in my situation and started to feel a bit better about my situation. I was working with an individual named Scott S[redacted] who was walking me through the process, and I gave them essentially every piece of personal and financial information I was asked for and waited... and waited... and waited some more. I was told each month to hold off on making my mortgage payments as the loan was going to go through. Six months later after having to make up all missed payments and having to pay late fees on each month E-Mortgage denies my application. The whole way through this I was told by the aforementioned individual that "don't worry, everything looks great, your loan is going through, we are just waiting for a subordination from your 2nd mortgage". I was told this time and time again and I was foolish enough to believe what I was being told. I suddenly received a letter stating that my loan had been denied. I called Mr. S[redacted] to inquire about what happened and he did not return my phone calls. I texted him with no response. I even tried to log into my account with E-Mortgage to file a complaint and low and behold, my account had just disappeared so I had no way of even complaining. If they had just told me within the first 2-3 months that I was unlikely to be approved, I would have moved on to other options, but no I was told everything was great and to just be patient. Now I am in a worse situation than ever, essentially screwed and having to decide between foreclosure and bankruptcy. Thank you soooo much E-Mortgage for finding a way to make things even worse. If anyone ever asks me about this company I will tell them to turn and run because they will string you along and not be up front about what is really going on and then you will be alone to pick up the pieces by yourself if there is anything left.
