They sent me a letter for home refinance. I called and talked to [redacted] and he said he pulled my area comparibles and it would be no issue to get a refinance for our home. I was told no out of pocket money till loan was approved. Then was told that I had to pay for an apprasial at $400.00 I told him he said no cost to me, and I asked again about homes selling in my area and wanted to confirm that he could close the deal with no issues. He repeatedly stated that it is no concern or issue, there are comparibles in my area don't worry. I borrow the money from a friend and they send over an appraiser. He acted like he was casing the home and not appraising it... then after calling for 2 weeks after that I finally hear that there is a problem and the appraiser didnt do the appraisal correctly. He just went off the county auditors site and didnt give a true appraisal. EC Financial then said that the problem was that there are no comparables in my area... I was lied to repeatedly as stated above. Then when I asked for my money back on the appraisal I was given the run around. I was told I would get the money back if they could not get my loan approved from the appraisal. Then was told by [redacted] boss [redacted] that I was out of luck and they do not issue refunds. I have called and recently my husband([redacted]) has called. They finally said they would refund the appraisal since I never received the appraisal and they lied to us. I have not yet seen the refund as of today Sept 12, 2011 and it was promised repeatedly to have been sent since back in August 2011. People need to know that this company will lie to get your money and then lie about a refund when the loan process does not work out. I demand a refund and will not settle for less!
