Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/09/06) */
We gave this guy all of his deposit back he expected- plus he received an extra $he did not know he had coming to him because we honored a past mospecialCan you please help us mediate? We do not know what to do to appease this guy
When my employees talked to hyelled, screamed and called them some pretty bad names
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/09/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was offered monetary compensation in the form of a $gift card to walmartThis was an insult to me, as I had already been treated poorly and as less than a human beingTheir customer service was incredibly poor, and by accepting their response or their small monetary tributes, it is setting precedent that their employees can treat people in any manner they wish and no customer be they past, present, or future can even contact a superior employee or owner leaving no liability to the employee whatsoeverThis is not acceptable under any circumstancesUpon arriving to pick up my check in person, the "***" individual I had spoke with on the phone who had been very unhelpful and rude was visibly upset and made it seem that it was a problem I had arrived in person to acquire my check in person after asking them to mail it to meI simply didn't want to take any chances of not receiving it or encountering any more issuesShe was very rude to me, and I asked again how I could speak with her superior and she refusedI called her a name because I felt I was at wits end with no option, and she immediately called me a fk face and uglyThese are her exact wordsShe said this with another tenant present with a money order to pay his rentThis is absolutely egregious behavior and there is no excuse for itWhile I was wrong in calling her a name, an employee and face of a company should be held to a higher standardThere is no way I will accept this behavior from them and by dropping this matter it is showing the employee and the company they can behave in any manner they please with no fear of consequences or without any consideration for those whom they work for, being tenants
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2016/09/13) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was not an hour late, and I arrived at the time and date that was set forth for me to inspect the apartmentI was told that I was fifteen minutes late, and any inspection had NOT been done, and was refused to be done at the time I was presentI had been treated with zero respect on the phone, and it was very difficult to set an appointmentThe initial person I spoke to on the phone told me they didn't know any good time to set an appointment, and I don't believe that the right hand knew what the left was doingI could not get any straight answer from any employee
I requested something in writing stating that I was unable to walk through the apartment for the inspection, and *** refusedShe wouldn't even talk to me face to face! What complete disregard for a customer and complete lack of respectShe wouldn't get up to speak to me, or invite me into her officeThis is absolutely NOT how any business is conducted
As the owner stated here, I was AHEAD on rent the entire time I occupied residency, and I feel that I was treated very unjustly and poorlyThe "upper management" they state that I was allowed to speak with was the individual that wouldn't speak to me face to face, and wouldn't allow me to inspect the apartment, or give me anything in writing stating as suchThe owner states here that the "upper management" I was allowed to speak with was the individual that was treating me so poorly, as a second rate citizen and not as a representative of a respectful company that takes pride in the way they do businessThis is like getting poor service from a waiter and the restaurant, and being told the waiter is the one whom you can leave your complaint withThis leaves zero accountabilityHow do you resolve an issue when you can't speak with any individual above the one causing your problems? This entire situation is ludicrous that when an employee cannot act in a manner coherent with the way that business is done as a proper and decent human being that takes pride in their work, and not be reported on accordingly
I was not looking for financial gain from this situation that left me scarredSimply to be treated with respect and for employees to be held accountable to others besides themselvesEven if they are "upper management." I'm sure Revdex.com would hold their employees to a higher standard and would like to know if they are acting in a manner not to the standard of a business like the Revdex.comThis should include any company accredited by the Revdex.com as well, because they carry the Revdex.com's nameIf a company is accredited by them and they tarnish their own name, they tarnish the name of the Revdex.com as wellNo matter the actions of any customer past, present, or future, no employee has the excuse to behave in the manner as which she didSwearing and calling them namesThere is a clearly defined line between associate representing the company and an outside third party not affiliated with them and the behavioral standards they should be held toIf I swore at a customer for ANY reason and called them names, I would not have a job
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/09/13) */
The former tenant set a time to inspect the apartment with the manager and he did not show up at the appointed timeShe did the inspection, which was left in good condition, and only a small cleaning fee would be taken from his depositWhen he came in an hour after his scheduled appointment, he was told that he was late and we did the inspection and his deposit would be mailed to him minus the small cleaning fee along with the move out paper work, as is done with all move outsHe moved out X-and his refund was mailed on X-and then returned and held until he called for it
As requested by our former tenant he asked to speak to upper management on the phone, which was done promptly with a minute call to try to rectify and, of course, apologizeAfter hearing his side of the story, we offered him a monetary compensation of $for his inconvenience and frustration, but he said he did not want any compensationWe discussed with him that we would talk with our employees about better customer service procedures for all tenants in the futureWhen he asked to speak to upper management prior to this Revdex.com complaint, we thought the only reason he wanted to speak with us was because we accidentally put the wrong address on his check and it came back to usThe bookkeeper did make that mistake but everyone does make mistakes and he did get his refund plus a move in special he had from years priorAt that time, we felt there was nothing more that could be done other than hand him his checkHe seemed to accept our apology and would sleep on resolving the matter
After the former tenant used profanity toward our property manager, it was difficult for her to retain the best of attitudes and stay calmWe spoke with her to stress the importance of good customer relations and that it is necessary at all times to be professional and she agreedThis employee has worked for us for years and this is the first complaint against her
He did admit that he was very happy with his year tenancy with us
