I am rejecting this response because:
Hello, I received a call from a lady at Dun and Bradstreet yesterday afternoon who assured me that she had spoken to the other Company, confirmed that it was a mistake and that Dun and Bradstreet would be making that correction. She was very nice and also said she would be notifying the other website sites that had purchased the incorrect information from them. Today, I receive a call from a gentleman at Dun and Bradstreet who informed me that the listing for the other Company was being updated again with my phone number and he wanted to confirm that I was the President of the Other Company. He gave me a completely new reference number. The new number is [redacted]. I can give you his name and callback number if that is helpful. So, yesterday afternoon, I was hopeful that this problem had been solved. But it has reemerged again from somewhere inside Dun and Bradstreet and apparently is not fixed. Please let me know how I can help. Thanks

Review: I had informed multiple times that an invoice of $399 was raised for services not delivered and neither asked, It was already informed to multiple agents who called from the 1st day , I had clarified it multiple times and now I get a collection letter which is the most Un professional act.
Account number : [redacted], Reference : [redacted] Would apreciate an instant check on it , this matter has been reported almost 27 times .Desired Settlement: Would appreciate this matter is looked up and given the necessary resort.

Response:
Our records show that [redacted] signed an agreement for [redacted] in the amount of $399 in June 2013. Since then, 15 D&B reports were purchased and the contract did not renew in June 2014. Given the usage and expiration, we will not be issuing any type of refund.D&B US National Customer Relations
Review: I contacted Dun and Bradstreet to remove my personal cell phone number from the calling lists that they sell to businesses. They refused even when I informed them that my number was registered with the [redacted] DO NOT CALL LIST. They replied that the companies that bought the list are in error. They laughed when I in formed them of my complaint to the [redacted] and Revdex.com. I receive aprox. 20 sales call everyday including robocalls.Desired Settlement: Simply remove my personal cell phone number from their sales list.
Business
Response:
Using information provided in this complaint as well as our independent research, the telephone number of ###-###-#### has been removed from the D&B record on [redacted] ([redacted]). This revision will take effect the morning of September 4, 2014. Please allow 30-45 days for these revisions to impact the various marketing solutions we provide. Please note: in general, if information is presented to D&B as commercial information (like a phone number or an address), we will treat it as such. Therefore, the National Do Not Call List is not applicable to D&B, since that list concerns residential listings and not commercial ones.Regards,D&B US National Customer Relations Team
Review: I received multiple calls from individuals at D&B indicating that there had been multiple inquireies into my business on their site and that I needed to sign up for their service so that I could see who was accessing my information and validate what they were seeing. It was a very hard sell and I purchased their membership for one year. When I accessed my account I found that I had no way of learning who was accessing my information and that the only way I could control what was in my rating was to file a complaint in regard to the information reported. I challanged a couple of the reports just to see what would be done and received no response. After signing up for the service I received multiple calls from other sales representatives over the next couple of weeks selling the same product. The product was not of value to me as it did not accomplish what I was led to believe it would.Desired Settlement: A refund would be nice as the product has no value to me. I am also concerned that it might be set up for an automatic renewal unless I specifically cancel. I want to make sure that service is not renewed. Also, I believe that this was a high pressure marketing campaign that a reputable business should not be involved in so I would like to see this type of high pressure marketing where misinformation is given stopped.

This complaint pertains to Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp (www.danb.com) is a subsidiary of Credibility Corp. There phone number is ###-###-####. Both entities are located at the same address: [redacted]. This company is privately owned and is not part of The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation (www.dnb.com).
I see that there is some confusion between D&B and Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corporation.
During the first half of 2010, D&B conducted an in-depth assessment of Self Awareness Solutions (SAS) - Micro Retention and New Customer Acquisition (NCA) - to determine whether the current business model fit within the overall D&B strategic direction and best positioned the business to deliver strong future growth.
After careful review, D&B determined that SAS, along with the Small Business Portal, are better served through a strategic alliance rather than continue to be directly owned by D&B.
As a result of this assessment D&B created a strategic, long-term alliance with a new partner through a corporate divestiture. The North American SAS business and the Small Business Portal were sold to Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp in order to to enhance the value that is delivered to customers effective August 1, 2010.
DBCC is a separate and unrelated business entity to D&B.
The customer can access their Business Information Report through IUpdate. IUpdate is a free service by Dun & Bradstreet that gives the customer an opportunity to update their information.

Review: I signed up in july of 2014, after finding out that this company was facing federal charges on Pay to Play Scam, I decided to cancel my services within their 30 day policy with the same person that had signed up . I left over 8 voice mails to cancel and spoke to a customer reps over that same period, telling me only the person that signed me up could cancel. I didn't think they would charge my card since I cancelled it right away, and no one ever called me back even though I asked to cancel my account, I never used their services and still they charged me. I just got a renew notice only reason they didn't recharge my card is because I had it cancelled in July after they initially charged me. This place is a SCAM !! Stay awayDesired Settlement: $750.00

Review: The D&B has my personal cell phone as the contact for the company that I am employed by. I have been trying for years to have my number removed as the contact for the company. The owners have even tried to have the number removed with no avail. I receive multiple sales calls for the company and my boss on my personal cell daily. I have made repeated requested and have never once gotten a reply or had my number removed. I even tried to contact customer service by phone and online chat on Monday and was told I have to email my request to have my number removed. As of today I have not gotten an response at all to my request. This is costing me time and money because it is using my personal cell phone minutes.Desired Settlement: Please have my phone number removed as the contact for Logistic Air, Inc and any other company. Phone number is ###-###-####.

We have taken steps to remove the phone number (###-###-####) from our business information database. This process will be completed effective Monday, August 26, 2013.
Review: I purchased DNBi CreditAdvisor for $525.00 plus tax on 6/26/14. I was misled into thinking this service was something else.I have tried to reach out to [redacted] but was told that I was unable to get a refund because it was past the 30 days. I spoke with my SBA Advisor who informed that the product that I purchased was not needed because I am small business looking to do government contracting.Desired Settlement: Refund for the total amount that was paid.
Review: We have been harassed by Dun and BradStreet regarding false claims that our business credit is in jeopardy. These claims are false as we do not do business under the name they have on file and thus there would be no complaints or issues. We have asked to be on their no call list, to be removed from their files/database, etc. I was informed that they couldn't remove our account but we could be placed on the no call list. I was in agreement to this and now several months later we have received yet another call. This is absolute harassment!! We don't want or need their services, have tried to follow their protocol for getting the calls to stop and nothing has worked. We are filing this complaint to have it publicly noted that they do not respect their former customers.Desired Settlement: We want them to remove us from their database, we do not want to be contacted by them AT ALL.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted]. Per my initial complaint, I referenced that the business name that we do business under ([redacted]) is not the business you have in your records. Please also include [redacted] on your do not call list. I will file a complaint against the [redacted] as they may very well be the ones contacting me. At this time I find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: The D&B contracts require notice before cancellation. D&B sent a price increase through after the expiration period. Please see below: Subject: RE: DNB contract renewal [redacted] Body: Hi [redacted], I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I was out of the office after the recent birth of my twins. Per your contract, your service actually had already renewed on the 11th of this month for another 12 month period. While we can certainly go over options, we can't cancel outright. It may be a good idea to get together to go over exactly what you need. There are definitely other providers, and even cheaper options, but none have the type of data that D&B does. Review: Hello,
My name is [redacted] and I do not own a company or business or have ever owned a company or business. Yet www.findthecompany.com has my name listed on their website as a company or business along with my personal home address where my family and I live: http://companies.findthecompany.com/l/[redacted]-in-Cupertino-CA
This information is completely open to the public and I do not feel safe with my personal information available to everyone.
In order to to remove my information from www.findthecompany.com, Dun & Bradstreet Corporation has to remove the information first as listed here: http://companies.findthecompany.com/p/contact-dun-and-bradstreet
I called the listed number of ###-###-#### on November 25th 2013 and representative [redacted] or [redacted] along with her manager [redacted] would not remove the information without me providing more information to them. I do not trust giving even more information to a company that has already compromised the safety and privacy of my family by disclosing my home address.
Please help me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]Desired Settlement: Please remove my personal information from Dun & Bradstreet Corporation database and other websites that use information from Dun & Bradstreet Corporation like www.findthecompany.com.

Review: I registered a business with Dun & Bradstreet approximately 6 months ago. I was told to submit a street address, the P.O Box number I submitted would not be sufficient. I was concerned about privacy and asked specifically if the address would be seen publicly and was told no, that the P.O box would be listed. A few months later, while doing a name search, I found my home address and name publicly listed on the Dun & Bradstreet site, again, I accessed this information just by typing in my name in "Google." I immediately called Dun and Bradstreet to ask them to remove my name from public view. After several calls my request was not granted and no clear reason was provided. Each agent told me something different ranging from "You need to change it on IUpdate," to "We will send a request to have the listing removed." I cancelled my business and told them to remove the listing. 10/21/2014 I spoke to some one and got a reference number, 12050097. 10/24/2014 I spoke to an agent identified as Vallery, who hung up on me. I then called back and spoke to a "[redacted] who transferred me to "[redacted]." Several days later I spoke with "[redacted]," who identified herself as employee number 6[redacted], and said she would put in a ticket to investigate if the business was valid. Then on 10/29/2014 an agent identifying as [redacted] called me and said she was confirming that the business was non-existant. I told her it was and she then said that the business will get unlisted. To the current date of this complaint, the business and the address, which is the personal address of the owner, is still listed. This is a direct safety issue for the owner and this was expressed to the agents spoken to in the effort to resolve this matter.Desired Settlement: To take the name of the, now non-existent, business and the address off of their site and off of public viewing.

Here at D&B, our standard procedure is to not purge a given report from our database. Response:
I am rejecting this response because: Dun and Bradstreet was requested specifically and without ambiguity to remove the listing of the physical name and address of the former business owner from their dnb.com site. It is a public danger to the owner to have the name and physical address where he is located listed for public view. DnB has not resolved the issue as proven by the screen shot of the information still made readily available on their website with a simple search of the name [redacted].

Review: Ver management, Inc. is filing a complaint against Dun and Bradstreet. They have an invalid and misleading damaging information about our company. Several items in the profile are incorrect and they’ve been notified on several different occasions to remove the inaccuracies. For example, Dun and Bradstreet has our address listed as a virtual address when it’s a physical address. But more important they have our company incorporated in 2013 but it was incorporated in August, 2006. It’s in a good standing and all taxes are paid off. Also they red flagged our company for inquiries that we’re not responsible for, they sold subscriptions to businesses which have ran our company’s DUNS file without our consent. Because of this they have blocked our access to Iupdate further damaging our company with these numerous inaccuracies. We haven’t applied for any kind of credit. And they’re asking our company to provide burden of proof (regarding inquiries) when only they have an access to which companies have viewed the profile.
We paid Dun and Bradstreet for the enhanced service that will allow us to expedite the process of obtaining a Paydex score by allowing us to self-report our existing trade references, however, upon several attempts of reporting our existing trade references, all of them were not only denied such as Uline, for example, but our respective account managers reported never receiving verification request from Dun and Bradstreet period. Thus in our opinion making the service a complete and utter scam.
Dun and Bradstreet has failed to perform the service they were paid for.Desired Settlement: Ver Management, Inc. is demanding all information to be immediately removed until we have an opportunity to correct it directly with their organization. All inquiries must be removed as they were not authorized. We’re demanding that our account be reset to a blank file because it is filled with damaging inaccuracies. And we’re demanding for a full refund. Fail you to do so will resolve in civil actions.

I am rejecting this response because:
Many of these "facts" are errors in their so-called investigation. They made zero attempt to confirm any of this inaccurate information with VER MANAGEMENT, INC. before publishing this damaging information and blocking our organization's access to I Update to correct it. A virtual office and an executive suite are two completely different things. Anyone with the most minor level of competence knows this. There was never any mention of our California location, which requires no foreign business registration, being an executive suite location in our file; which it is. Furthermore our official corporate documents sealed by the state of Nevada clearly show our official corporate address which is located in the state of Nevada. Perhaps someone should have bothered to take a look since we uploaded them to the Dun and Bradstreet server. This is just a case of gross deliberate publishing of false information, negligence and incompetence all in one.Dun and Bradstreet sells subscriptions to business so they can have access to the files of business like ours. These business make inquiries on new business registrants with their company. Then they have the nerve to accuse those registrants (us) of having an irregular high amount of inquiries when we've applied for nothing. That is just asinine and extremely unprofessional. They also make mention of our organization having a mailing address. What a novel thought? A business actually having a separate address to handle their mail now that has red flags all over it. I guess we should shut down all UPS mail locations because they are filled with these suspicious businesses using their mail services. In all seriousness we have no problem and fully prepared to take legal actions against both Dun and Bradstreet and Dun and Bradstreet Credibility Corporation for knowingly publishing false and damaging information against our corporation. Our research indicates that both are these organizations may be responsible for numerous of these damaging publishings against several honest hard working organizations like ours. The words "class action" comes to mind when we think about our research...

I have a copy of the email they sent to us in 2012 confirming the cancellation. They then proceeded to charge us again in 2013 (yearly billing). I asked for a refund because we had previously canceled. They refunded the money from 2013, but will not reply to my emails inquiring about my refund from 2012. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
Review: Dun & Bradstreet is selling credit related information it maintains about businesses in the US to at least two unethical internet based information companies, [redacted], and D&B Credibility. D&B is aware these companies are misusing D&B's information to publish false and misleading reports about businesses and their sales figures, and lengths of time in business. For example, [redacted] reports that I have only been in business 4 years, and that my total sales are $40,000. D&B Credibility reports I have been in businsess 4 years, and my sales are $35,000. All of these figures are grossly inaccurate, and make my business appear inexperienced and unsuccessful, when in fact I have been in business for almost 20 years and am quite successful.
It seems these companies' business models are: 1) to obtain bulk data through Dun & Bradstreet; and then, 2) to populate datafields missing from D&B's data with data the companies simply make up; and then, 3) to pass off this made-up data to unsuspecting internet passers-by as accurate; and finally, 4) to force those victimized by the ficitious and inaccurate reports to log into the companies' websites to remove the damaging misinformation.
I contacted Dun & Bradstreet at 973.921.5500 earlier today. D&B is aware these activities. D&B informs me it did not and could not have provided sales volume figures about my company to either [redacted] or D&B Credibilty, because D&B has no information about my sales volume at all. D&B's acknowledges these companies are likely making up numbers to populate missing datafields, but D&B continues to sell its data to them, and D&B's continues to allow it name to be used to lend credibility to the reports.
My issue with D&B is that it knows its information is being misused by these two companies, but it continues to provide them its data, and allows them to append false data, and it continues to let them use its name to add credibility to these false reports.Desired Settlement: D&B to quit providing data to companies it knows are misusing its data to create fictitious and inaccurate reports which cause damage to innocent businesses.

Response:
[redacted].com and Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corporation are just 2 companies among many that purchase data from D&B, using it to fulfill their own products, services and solutions. When that information is not up to date or is inaccurate, the subject company can contact D&B to have the information corrected or updated, free of charge using our web portal called iUpdate (iupdate.dnb.com).This complaint contains feedback regarding sales figures. In the D&B database, sales figures are either book figures (financial) or estimated figures. Book figures are just as described – sales figures from a prepared income statement, provided to D&B by the subject company. Estimated figures are developed using the D&B Sales Estimation Model. D&B’s Sales Estimation Model provides statistically derived total estimated sales for those businesses in D&B’s marketing database that do not contain a company’s reported sales volume. The following demographic variables are used:1) Geographic Region2) Legal Status (Corporation, Partnership, Proprietorship)3) Total High Credit4) Population Size5) Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code6) Total Employees at the location7) Age of the business8) Number of InquiriesThe model almost always underestimates sales and therefore should not be taken as a literal amount. In many cases the model will be very close, but there are always outliers that a model cannot predict. All of the data elements used in the model can be edited via iUpdate except for Total High Credit and Number of Inquiries. Total high credit comes directly from the companies that provide us with trade data from their own accounts receivable records, and number of inquiries is an internal metric measured by D&B.

Response:
I am rejecting this response because D&B is simply admitting my complaint is vaild, without offering a solution.D&B admits that its partners are misusing its data by allowing them to present the data in such a way as to make it appears as relaible and actionable to consumers. Here is the way [redacted] presents D&B's info about my business on its website: "Founded 4 years ago, [redacted] R [redacted] Investigations has been in business for less time than its investigation service competitors". "According to Dun & Bradstreet, [redacted] R [redacted] Investigations earns an estimated $40,000 a year. This is:47% less than its investigation service competitors in [redacted]..". Nowhere near these grossly inaccurate statements, which seem calculated by design to drive customers away from my business, appears the truth to which D&B has just admitted:The data is can be wildly inaccurate, and should not be relied on to make decisions about which investigative company to hire.
Again, D&B needs to do the right thing and force its partners to stop presenting grossly inaccurate information as anything short of made up. Particularly as it effects my business. Here is a link to my company's entry on [redacted]
