Put two twin blankets and two twin fitted sheets in the extra large $4.50 washer by the employee only door (northeastern-most washer). When there was 10 minutes left until the washer would unlock, I stepped out the back door for a cigarette and due to the COVID-safety request to avoid staying in the building, and came back to find my washer open and approx $150 of bedding gone from what was a near-empty laundromat with two other doors, both of which would have required walking past the employee on duty. Have been a regular for 8 years and won’t be returning until fully compensated for the business’ negligence towards me, the only person onsite who was following local law, *** safety guidelines and posted policy by wearing a mask indoors and remaining outdoors as much as possible. Drop-off would not have helped since Duds ‘n Suds uses the machines in the main laundry area for drop-off service.

The laundry technician and owners of the laundromat assisted the customer in multiple ways on August 3, within hours of the issue. Unfortunately, a negative *** review was made within less than 2 hours of the issue, before we could possibly find any resolution or research the complaint. In addition, the laundromat has clearly posted signage that state we are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property. The efforts taken by the laundry technician and owners include:• The laundry technician immediately assisted the customer by looking in all machines, to make sure his items weren’t in another machine.• The owners were notified of the situation within 1 hour of the issue.• The owners reviewed the recorded video within a few hours of the issue.• A voicemail was left the same evening with the customer indicating a family was seen taking the items out of the machine and that we were hopeful it was a mistake as their machine was next to his.• The voicemail asked the customer to return the call.• The customer did not return the call, and instead, sent a complaint to the Revdex.com the next day.• Unfortunately, the family has not returned the items.While we appreciate the customers patronage of 8 years, we never had the opportunity to talk with him or discuss the research we had done. The negative *** review was within 1 hour of the issue and he has never returned our call. It is unfortunate that he contacted the Revdex.com with partial information and no details of what we have done to help him. We have copied the video to a thumb drive and the customer can review if he wishes to do so.Thank you for your consideration.
