Contracted Dry pro to fix a small mold issue at our house in February 2019 that resulted from previous owner installing new floor and not buy correct wax ring. The mold issue was never fixed, they left our crawl space a wreck and did not warranty the work and we are in the same place we were 3 months ago, only difference is we are out $1,300.00
I was deployed and my pregnant wife ( who is active duty military) called Dry Pros. They agreed to do the work for approximately $1,300.00 After I came home from deployment, I went into the crawl space to see if the issue was resolved. I could not even get to the area because joist insulation was throw about. After moved it I was able to see there was still mold. It looked like someone from *** did the job. There has not been a new water intrusion and the vapor lock is sealed. This mold is residual left-over mold dry pros did not fully treat and is in the same area they “treated”.
I reached out to Dry Pro and the owner rambled off a bunch of technical jargon but in the end did nothing and they have not warranted the work.
“…it was never in the quote to put the insulation back ..” I asked them what homeowner or pregnant women with her husband deployed, in their right mind would want the insulation left on the floor, it belongs in between the joists off the floor? The owner than listed two other excesses- and said “ ..They were not the vendor that took it down and a handy man was there and said he would put it back up…” just ridiculous that they would leave their.
It’s not hard to treat mold or put insulation up and would take 30 seconds to fix the insulation. However, the main point here is “the way you do one thing, is the way you do everything”. There are other companies out there and you get what you pay for. This company is willing to rip off a deployed member of the DOD and a pregnant wife with a small child at home not one is safe from their predatory “contract work” and scheming bids.
Customer’s Statement of the Problem: Contracted Dry pro to fix a small mold issue at our house in February 2019 that resulted from previous owner installing new floor and not buy correct wax ring.
· This is correct, this was a long-term leak and it was in fact damages before the homeowner purchased the property, they also had hired a “remediation company before us” which only spray painted the mold and did not follow IICRC S520 protocols.
The mold issue was never fixed, they left our crawl space a wreck and did not warranty the work and we are in the same place we were 3 months ago, only difference is we are out $1,300.00 I was deployed and my pregnant wife ( who is active duty military) called Dry Pros. They agreed to do the work for approximately $1,300.00 After I came home from deployment, I went into the crawl space to see if the issue was resolved.
· Please know the proposal we wrote: SC-3382, total amount owed: $820.00, was wrote for the services of drying all of the affected materials, to contain the bathroom in your downstairs with negative air and the attached HEPA air scrubber device to be sure your home was not cross-contaminated, it also included to HEPA vacuuming the affected sub-flooring of the home and to treat with an anti-microbial agent called benefect, which all the services were performed on the proposal and completed by our companies professionals. Our proposal did not include the crawlspace work to be completed.
I could not even get to the area because joist insulation was throw about.
· Please know during our company inspection on: 02/01/2019 @ 1:30pm, this included to checking on the downstairs bathroom, further to check in the crawlspace, please know before we arrived to the property there was already another restoration company performing their inspection, by the time we had gotten into the crawlspace the company before us has ripped everything down and made a mess of the crawlspace, which this information was given to you on contacting us, which you will need to contact that service provider for this correction. Thank you.
After moved it I was able to see there was still mold. It looked like someone from *** did the job. There has not been a new water intrusion and the vapor lock is sealed.
· Once again, we did not perform services in the crawlspace with the insulation, nor the microbial growth under there and to be clear, the seller obviously did not hire a professional remediation company during your purchase agreement, as we both can agree the remediation in the crawlspace was once again performed by a different company then ours, they did in fact just spray paint over the mold, which is only causing more issues down there, if you would like we can try to figure out maybe an additional proposal to complete the needed services in the crawlspace, which would require sanding the paint off of the mold growth, then performing an additional remediation.
This mold is residual left-over mold dry pros did not fully treat and is in the same area they “treated”.
· We did not perform or invoice for a professional remediation in the crawlspace and apologize for any miss-communication or miss-understanding.

It’s not hard to treat mold or put insulation up and would take 30 seconds to fix the insulation.
· Once again, to furthermore explain, no services were rendered in regards to remediation, nor the put-back or repairs of materials, please know yourself and seller agreed before the hiring of our company to use another remediation company in the crawlspace and the contractor that was in your home doing some flooring and other renovations explained he was going to go in the crawlspace and fix the sub-flooring and insulation, you will need to contact him further to get these services completed.

· Everything was explained in detail, from the inspection of services, to the creation of the proposal, to the process of mitigation and remediation, all the way down to the issues that have arose due to the neglect and quality issues of “other companies” you hired in your home, please know we have a great standing on the Revdex.com and other review board companies list us as a top provider with great quality, services and timeliness. Please know we mean no disrespect by this situation or by our response and we hope the very best for your home and your family! Thank you so much for choosing Dry Pros.

Hello ***, my name is Shane C I am the owner and an operator of Dry Pros LLC. I sincerely apologize for the way you and your husband are feeling towards our company and the strong language barrier between us.
Please know we did in fact complete your needed drying and water mitigation services, however we had to communicate with your insurance provider and provide and express the need for your mold remediation services, which did in fact take awhile for the approval and scheduling process, as frustrating as that had gotten, we meant no disrespect from it and we did try everything to move the process along and communicate as best as possible.
Your husband was told everything, we couldn't communicate with him unfortunately, so we did remove our equipment, explained the situation with your insurance provider, placed magnetic business cards on your door so your husband and yourself would not forget to communicate with us after our discrepancies.
If there is anything further we could do for you ***, or your husband, please contact our company by email: [email protected] or by phone: 208-999-2353 and well be happy to assist you! Thank you so much for at least using our company for apart of the needed services in your home.
Our home flooded on Christmas Day. Dry Pro's were the only company who answered the phone and saved our home from more extensive damage. I would highly recommend them for anyone needing help with their home disaster. I am also a Realtor with EPIC Realty and will recommend them to all of my clients. Dan Bevins
They were very fast and professional with the water damage in my bathroom. I will always use them in the future.
I was given a quote for clean up of black mold, carpet replacement, cleaning of blankets, repair of walls in a food storage closet. The agreed upon price was paid, the company never completed the job, left all the items in another room for us to put away, never replaced the carpet (it still has just the padding on the floor with no carpet) and never repaired the wall. Then, if that wasn't bad enough, the company sued us saying we.owed them more money!!!!!! Horrible company!! Unbelievable!!!
Hello, this is Shane with Dry Pros LLC. We are so Happy to see you have spent the time to review our company, however in such a negative light is shocking, as we are an Idaho based company and truly care about our Idaho customers. Please know we may respond to each part of your complaint and will address any and all issues our customers do have with our company. Now to address your concern, please know your estimates were divided upon the first being that of the Mold Remediation and the second being that of the Repair estimate. Now as for the Mold Remediation estimate, this was completed as described on our proposal and was in fact paid in full by yourself, our customer, we truly appreciate this and hope it was to your complete satisfaction. Now as for the Repair estimate, this was very confusing for ourselves, you did not allow our company to complete the repairs as you stated you were going to go another route, then we revised your estimate to reflect the work you would not allow us to complete and still would not pay for the services we did in fact complete, then after several attempts and money our company had already spent on your property, we were required to enforce collection as to protect the longevity of our business. This claim was resolved long ago and we currently have this account paid in full and have not placed any further collection against this customer, we are actually surprised this is being brought up, from the date of: 07/02/2016, over 1 year ago. Please know we are not a horrible company as this review states and if you use our company even once we can prove we truly care about being honest, fair and performing the utmost professional work. (We have attached the customers 2 different proposals as proof, we also recommend the customer to contact our company: ***@Dryprosidaho.com)
I spoke with you earlier in regards to Dry Pros in Meridian, Idaho. Attached is a document breaking down their costs and the work they claim they performed. As you can see, they charged $297.07 for installing "high-grade" carpet, two coats of paint, ect. This work was not completed as they have claimed. We are requesting that they refund at least half of the bill for the incomplete work. As I stated to you, the floor still just has padding and is not complete, nor has it been painted with 2 coats of paint, etc. as they are claiming. Please post this to their response.
Please let me know what I need to do further to remedy this situation.
Thanks for your help
