I booked with ACE and when I went to pick up it was this Drivo

Awful experience
My recent experience with Drivo Rental Car at LaGuardia Airport was nothing short of a complete disaster. This rental car company deserves a special place in the hall of shame for their atrocious service and unethical practices.

To begin with, I had booked a rental car through Drivo Rental Car online, and I specifically opted for a package that supposedly included "unlimited mileage." However, when I arrived at their location at LaGuardia Airport, I quickly realized that their interpretation of "unlimited mileage" was far from the truth. Instead, they had their own bizarre set of restrictions on where I could drive, essentially limiting my travel options to a minuscule radius. It was utterly infuriating to discover that the unlimited mileage I had paid for was, in reality, just a mirage.

I attempted to reason with the manager at Drivo Rental Car, hoping for a fair resolution. Initially, they feigned willingness to cooperate and promised to "find a solution." However, this turned out to be nothing more than empty words. In the end, they held me responsible for the excess mileage I had driven, despite their false advertising and misrepresentation. It was clear that they cared more about squeezing extra money out of me than about upholding their promises.

The customer service at Drivo Rental Car was nothing short of a nightmare. The manager I dealt with was rude, unhelpful, and displayed zero empathy for my predicament. It was abundantly clear that they had no intention of resolving the issue in a fair and ethical manner.

Adding insult to injury, the rental car I received from Drivo Rental Car was in a deplorable condition. The interior was filthy, and there were unsettling noises coming from the engine. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable throughout my entire rental period.

In summary, Drivo Rental Car at LaGuardia Airport is a disgraceful establishment that engages in false advertising, unethical practices, and abysmal customer service. My experience with them was nothing short of a nightmare, and I implore anyone considering renting a car from this company to seek alternatives. Save yourself the frustration, inconvenience, and money, and choose a reputable car rental company that values honesty and customer satisfaction. Drivo Rental Car is a shameful representation of the industry, and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Rented a manager’s special from the JFK location. East pick up, no lines, car was great - clean and nice model. Would recommend and use again. Thanks!

I recently wrote a review about Drivo Rent a Car business practices. This is an update. The company has a history of consumer fraud allegations. Horrible experience
It was a very unpleasant experience. I won't ever use Drivo again! The only one nice person in the whole company was the shuttle driver. It was a hassle to communicate at the JFK Airport about the shuttle. It took about an hour for it to come. Then we had to stay inline in the heat in a room with no AC for another hour and a half or two to get into the office. Once we did the paper work for the car, they recorded - or so they seemed - the condition of the car with an iPad. As I tried to take some pictures of scratches of the car, they said they would send to us a copy of the report, which they never did. The car had a couple of scratches and bumps and also a loose front bumper which looks like it was glued. It fell of constantly making noises. I was concerned because I never received a copy of the car report.
I rented the car for 4 days and was in Niagara Falls (CA) for a day and a half. They had told me that if I'd drive the car out into an area not covered by the rental agreement, I would have to pay $35 a day in addition to the agreed price. They had a GPS and located the car the very day I entered in Canada, which was documented in a text message they sent me. Nevertheless, they charged me $35 dollars a day for the entire 4 days of the rental (total $170.26) even though I was in Niagara Falls only 1 day and a half. Upon returning the car, I requested to speak to the manager to ask him to honor the content of the text message sent ($35 a day for every day we go outside the covered area of the contract). He was angry and very disrespectful and said that if I didn't like it, I was free to go somewhere else. Too late for me, right? Very disappointed. I should have heard of the complains every person expressed when leaving the office. Horrible experience.

Great servic and nice clean car
I am an avid Avis customer but tried Drivo when my reservation was compromised. I am glad I did. I saved at least a couple of hundred dollars, got a great car with excellent service. Next time I arrive at JFK, I will reserve with Ace-Drivo and save money and time. The car was as nice as any car that I have rented elsewhere.

To my surprise!!
I was skeptical in renting from this place . I flew in to jfk I thought they had a shuttle from the airport but their shuttle is at federal circle . So they instruct u to take the Air train. It was 4 stops however it was late I was tired it was windy and cold. The shuttle driver was late . So when I arrived there I was rude an abrupt. However I met Miron who was the nicest and patient person when through the hole ordeal and I apologize for my behavior. He offered me a great car the best in the type I pick and told me he hope it help. His whole demeanor was just a joy took the whole process and made it a joy ty 🙏

Stay Away
Dont ever rent from this company they are the worst !. They are scammers and everytime you ask for a manager all they get on the line is the same man . He is extremely rude and has no customer service skills. I rented through priceline they charged me $20 a day , When I arrived to the location the lady said I will give you a upgrade for $8.00 more a day. But in the end we paid $20.00 a day for the original vehicle and then $28.00 for the upgrade . Also we wre told when we got there that the the vehicle is not unlimited miles that we have to pay $10.00 a day extra in the end when we handed the vehicle in we were charged $20.00 a day when I asked the manager what is this he said $10.00 for the miles and $10.00 surcharges daily for the miles . Plus all the other charges they added on. I will take thsi to consumer affairs as a comppany owner myself I dont go around lying or scamming my customers.

Bad service
This company does not have a corporate office, we had a really terrible experience with this car rental company. Please! do not rent from this rental company they love to scam people specially when you get into a car accident and everything is paid for by your insurance or the other parties insurance they wouldn’t stop calling you to collect on what they call demising value on a car that’s not even worth a lot of money. Never had this kind of a problem with other car rental even your insurance company would tell you same thing that they never heard of demising value unless the car your renting is an exotic car, so please! don’t rent from this company

Drivo: attentive and efficient
I recently rented a car from Drivo, near LGA, for the 1st time and will gladly do it again.
The staff was attentive and efficient, and the car was spotless, which is what we all want to see. The return process was equally attentive and efficient, no waiting whatsoever!

I was just notified by my insurance company [redacted] that loss of use and admin fees are not recoverable in New York State (though this company is headquartered in NJ, the rental took place in NY at their JFK location)This is specified by New York General Business Law 396-z.According to [redacted] , Drivo regularly tries to skirt this law and charge renters for loss of use and admin fee, which is what seems to be happening in my case.I would have included this information in my original claim had I understood it at the time, so I wanted to send it along now.Thank you very much, and please don't hesitate to contact me for any additional information or issue with the claim
