Never Again
Booked a one night stay in Houston. Booked my stay through Rentals United for a price of $149. Upon arriving in Houston after a 4 hour drive checked my email for check-in instructions only to find out that there was no email from this company. Upon calling the customer service number on the Rentals United website I was connected to Driftr Travels. They informed me that my reservation was canceled by their team due to incorrect payment info. My payment info was auto filled so I don't understand how that would happen but either way they did not attempt to contact me by email phone or text to resolve this. After pulling my vehicle over and spending 1 hour on the phone with customer I was able to rebook the stay at a price of 185.00. $95.00 cleaning fee and $90.00 for the room. The price increase was due to the fact that I originally booked through Rentals United. Driftr couldn't honor that lower price. Upon paying the increased rate I had to provide my personal information. Thought nothing of it until it asked for a copy of my passport, selfie, short message describing the purpose of my stay etc. I informed the customer service representative I wasn't comfortable with this but was informed that I had already paid and refund wasn't available. Over an hour with customer service finally have my room booked. Arrive at property to find out checkin instructions were very vague. Wander around bldg looking for call box. Finally find call box. Before I forget, unlocking the unit requires you to download an app to your phone. I was informed that customer service could unlock the unit remotely but they were have a problem with the wifi in the unit so that option wasn't available. Upon entering the suite it appeared clean and decently furnished. Some of the furniture was worn. Dining table finish was scuffed off in large patches. The mattress was very low quality, to the point I opted to sleep on the couch. The walls were filthy. Not a little dirty but there was hand prints and large marks all over. I don't even know how that would happen. I was woke up in the morning bright and early with a text from the property directing me to put towels and sheets in washer and start it as well as load dishwasher and start it and to do a put trash in unit(not sure what that means). As I paid a $95 cleaning and was in the unit for 14 hours I don't see how they have the nerve to request me to do any cleaning. What the hell is the $95 for?
I don't leave reviews very often. I can count on 1 hand how many I've left in my lifetime and they have mostly been because of positive interactions but I felt as though I would be doing my fellow human beings and mankind in general an unforgivable disservice by not warning any possible victims of the hell that awaits them if they have any dealings with this business.

Greetings. On Saturday, February 22, 2020, I made a reservation via *** for a Drifts Travel condo in Houston, TX.

Drifts Travels requires their own check-in. I began completing the check-in but discontinued when they asked to scan my identification or passport. I was sent eleven (11) email messages. I called (512) 434-0098 as listed below but could get anyone. I also responded to six text message from 210-686-1984, indicating I would be happy to show my identification upon arrival. The company refused to honor this compromise. I asked the company and *** to cancel the reservation and Driftr Travels refund me my $210.32 due to violation of my privac

I then call *** to cancel that reservation, explaining that I had a doctor's appointment in Houston, Texas on Monday and I did not want to compromise my safety and goal to rest before seeing the doctor to be comprommised by not having a place to stay. *** tried to reach the company and was not able to do so.

On Wednesday, February 26, 2020, *** emailed me indicating that Driftr Travels would not reimburse me. I s
