Dear Mr ***, We are very sorry that you felt neglected and that we don't care about our tenants, please understand that is not our intent We apologize for the frustration you have had over the last two years you rented the condo Before you moved into the condo, the owner had completely gutted the condo and made many upgrades As we do with all our properties, we conduct a walk thru inspection after our tenants move out, mostly with the owners present In this instance, both our broker and the owner found that the cabinets were beyond wear and tear The cabinets were painted as part of the overhaul of the condo and were in perfect condition upon move in The cabinets are not poor quality and the scratches and dings you made on them go beyond wear and tear With that said, we regret to inform you that we will not be returning your $*** We did the best we could to keep your costs to a minimum when we had to fix the cabinets that you damaged

I am rejecting this response because:We did nothing other than take things in and out of those cabinets Short of not using our kitchen at all, there was nothing that we could do over two years with two kids in the condo that was going to keep those cabinets as good as newly paintedI saw the cabinets and there was not that much that needed to be doneRegardless of your intent, D&R has displayed a consistent pattern of neglect and apathy and seems to think that everyone else will just let them continue to do soThis is unacceptableI want my $*** back

Sorry, the owner is not refunding the money, she used it on fixing the cabinets. Owners choice and we stand behind her decision

WE have returned the security deposits to the owner and have closed our account. We are sorry that this did not work out better between the two parties

While D&R Property Management does not necessarily agree with everything that the tenant has laid out in his complaint, our office can say that that there has been a lot of miscommunication and confusion throughout the course of the lease at this propertyThe homeowner was very involved
throughout the course of the lease, especially regarding the maintenance issues on the premises, and,because of this, our office was not able to perform up to our usual company standards. In order to come to an amicable resolution of this matter, we agree to allow the tenant to use his security deposit ($4,440) in order to pay the rent for the last two months of his lease (April 11, and May 11, 2016)With the condition that we can show the home to potential buyers during this time frame, as the house will be listed for sale

completely gutted the condo and made many upgrades.  As we do with all our properties, we conduct a walk thru inspection after our tenants move out, mostly with the owners present.  In this instance, both our broker and the owner found that the cabinets were beyond normal wear and tear.  The cabinets were painted as part of the overhaul of the condo and were in perfect condition upon move in.  The cabinets are not poor quality and the scratches and dings you made on them go beyond normal wear and tear.  With that said, we regret to inform you that we will not be returning your $[redacted].  We did the best we could to keep your costs to a minimum when we had to fix the cabinets that you damaged.

[redacted] never told me I was responsible for paying all the utilites so I did not sign the lease nor did I move into the property. He has not returned my deposit of $1,895.00 to me and am going to file a claim with the small claims court on Monday if I do not receive a check in full on Friday, April 11.
